The following response was posted among others addressing this WRONGFUL and ILLEGAL dismissal of a university student who was forced to fight off a lunatic lecturer on a violent rampage and hellbent on groping a woman's breasts under a suitable pretext .

" Women's rights apply selectively in Nigeria. This female university student was minding her own business chatting with friends and using her phone while standing in a hallway exactly as all college student are prone to do when outside the classroom.

For reasons that simply do not matter from the standpoint of legality, this lecturer decided to grab the student's phone, thus committing a violent assault since the student resisted that attempt to grab her property. It is noteworthy that this lecturer decided to physically grapple with a female student despite the fact that she never made any initial attempt to touch his person by way of provocation.

It is obvious that this lecturer derived perverted sexual gratification from physically assaulting the female student, REGARDLESS of the flimsy excuse the man offered to explain his being the INSTIGATOR of that physical confrontation by his action of trying to grab a phone that was NOT his property, REGARDLESS of the excuses he may cook up to try and rationalize his momentary departure from sanity.

The lady who has been WRONGLY dismissed from university should now engage the services of a reputable and competent barrister at law who will then prepare a robust civil lawsuit demanding substantive monetary damages from the university that carried out this rash dismissal, AND from the sexual predator lecturer who used the color of authority to cop a feel and grab a woman's breasts because he was unable to control his animal instincts. An example MUST be set of this opportunistic bully who parades himself as a lecturer yet cannot control his raging lustful urges. "

You can’t fight an institution and win. ASUU na cartel and they must protect their own to avoid setting a precedent. She’ll also be persona non grata in any Nigerian university due to this expulsion. Perhaps, Ruggedman and his cohorts can sponsor her to study abroad. That’s if the Lecturer’s wife doesn’t start a criminal case against her.

That female student's human rights were flagrantly violated on so many levels. She MUST retain legal counsel IMMEDIATLEY and file a bank-breaking lawsuit demanding 100M naira damages as compensation for defamation, libel, mental trauma, and illegal dismissal. The lecturer should also be named in that lawsuit so that he can become acquainted with the concept of FAIRNESS as quantified in millions of naira.

Certainly if this lady is blacklisted in ALL Nigerian universities, there is no shortage of human rights organizations that will sponsor her education in the USA, UK, EU or Canada.

Did the student make the INITIAL physical contact in that confrontation? This question is CENTRAL to any court action that arises.

Who tried to grab a phone FIRST?

then why do students go to lecturers for counselling, financial support or mentorship. You are not wise

Is it only your biological parents that are your parents. There are many older people that has played the role of parents to students. Some even paid for their accommodation or gave them a place to stay so basically lecturers are more like parents to students

Again you said the students are adults. So because you're an adult you still don't need help and guidance? Alo goh

I think you should marry her.shes your kind.for you to defend a badly behaved girl you yourself have character issues. You both will make a perfect couple.make una 2 use violence spice up your marriage

U go to someone for advice or they pay for ur accommodation or they act as a parent or guardian doesn't give them express rights to seize ur fone unless ure a kid. I mean an minor.

even ur biological parents can't and shouldn't seize ur fone as an adult unless in extreme cases. A lecturer has no such rights..

The lecturer has made the cardinal mistake of allowing himself to be FILMED while confessing that he was indeed the FIRST person to get physical by trying to grab the student's phone, like a phone thief, since that grab was WITHOUT the student's permission.

The lecturer must be proud of his fast-talking attempt to dodge legal repercussions that will squarely address his assault and battery attack on a defenseless woman who was forced to fight for her life, due to her fear that the man attacking her had lost his mind.

Just as daylight follows the darkest of nights, EricMor, I can assure you with absolute certainty that there WILL be major legal action taken against the mugger lecturer, AND against the university for their hasty and unjust action of dismissing the student who was a victim of an unprovoked physical assault perpetrated by a clearly unstable man who MUST be shown the door and dismissed without benefits when the smoke clears in court

Why don't u quote the students handbook. Does it say a lecturer can seize ur personal property at will?

I didn't even say the girl was right I just said it got escalate by trying to seize her fone. He probably did that to know her name.

However the punishment was harsh. A public apology and a suspension or enrolment in daily students behaviour orientation would have been fine.

Do u lack comprehension? I said the punishment was harsh. Something moderate would have also served as a correction and deterrent to others. However her false rape accusations made her matter worse.
