Some of the fake drugs were found in some electronics shops. They use electronics as cover up while indulging in fake drugs production.

These people are murderes. The government should demolish the market permanently

My wicked brothers from the South Yeast should be held responsible for the high rate of kidney failure in Nigeria.
Lock down that region for 1 year and see how people's health will improve drastically.

You don't know who your brothers are. Ndiigbo have nothing in common with your Yoruba. We are not your brothers.

Did she solved the problem big NO!!!!!

Let educate you on the so called fake drugs they are talking about, those traders you see in the market are sole representatives of different pharmaceuticals in Nigeria or other countries. Are those traders into fake drugs Mr man?

What of those traders who import those US or UK drugs that doesn't need our own NAFDAC approval on their drugs, are those traders into fake drugs Mr man?

Just answer this question, then we can continue on our discussion.

Lol. No one is going to answer these mumu questions. Very illiterate questions. You go school?

your foolishness is beyond this world, no pharmaceutical company will give you distributorship of their products without regulative approve your government undecided There is a reason why NAFDAC/SON are present at the Port, you can't import Drugs or Drinks without NAFDAC number, they will be destroyed.
Like I said your foolishness is beyond this world.

Those with shallow thinking capacity who like to deride Peter Obi in all things without thinking have been attacking him for asking for the reopening of Onitsha Head Bridge market that was closed by NAFDAC because they discovered fake drugs in the warehouses of some drugs sellers.

But before you continue to attack Peter Obi, answer this question - is fake drugs the only thing sold in that market?

Or would you support the closing of all the mosques in Nigeria because most terrorists are Muslims?

Would you support the closing of all the churches in Nigeria because some pastors are fake and charlatans?

Would you ask for the disbandment of the entire police force because some criminal characters in the police force defraud citizens?

Would you ask for the extermination of Nigeria from world map because some of our citizens are fraudsters defrauding foreigners of their money while others are drug dealers with international drug trafficking networks?

If you have never called for any of the above, then it’s double standard for you to support the closure of Onitsha market because of few fake drugs dealers.

Have you asked what will become the fate of those selling building materials in the market?

What of those selling spare parts?

Or those selling cosmetics and beauty products?

What of food vendors and other artisans who depend on the market for their daily sustenance?

These people should all suffer because of the action of a few people who decided to do the wrong thing that they had absolute no control over?

Make it make sense.

Bros, the closure is temporary, for sanitization of the fake drug dealer.

IPOB closes the same market every Monday; we don't see you open your mouth on that.

While I was schooling at Anambra State University, the only place we get the standard of books we use in the University is at that market. Anyone who schools in Anambra can confirm that. Even if you eventually place an order for it in and around the school, it arrives there from the market.

The alternative now would be Awka or Asaba, which is a further two hours (give or take) distance from Onitsha. Now, education is also impacted by the closure. Add building materials and the extra cost of transportation, e.t.c. This is no different from punishing an entire class, despite having a list of noisemakers.

Cheaper way of escaping responsibility.

If a particular church operated by a pastor is caught for instance with a human head in the premises, the particular church will be shut down for further investigation and not going to another different entirely church, it same with the market. You position of closing all churches show how poor your level of education you have attain if any self. Did Nafdac went to another market for closure, is it not same market. Illiterate at is peak.

I tire for those of you who think you can rationalise with bigots! They will NEVER see reason because they’re reasoning with their hate-filled hearts and not with their heads!

Has the NAFDAC or whatever they’re called engaged with the market leaders of the market in question to identify the specific owners of the stores or warehouses where the fake drugs were found? This is so they can be handed over for prosecution! If the market is known as a hotspot for fake drugs, what actions have been taken in the past to get the market authorities to police themselves and weed out the criminals amongst them? If you close down an entire market because some of the traders were engaged in acts of criminality, you may just as well close down Aso-Rock!
government can't engage with criminals. The so called leaders, some are among the fake drug business. Nafdac did the best thing to burst them on aware. The closure is justified to do proper investigation cos another trader who sells cloth can also be into the business but disguising. There is nothing igbos can't do to make money at all cost. If Evans was not caught as a kidnapper, Nigeria might believe is an importer. Most igbos so called businessmen in Lagos are not making money from their business but into fraudulent act. The are into robbery, kidnapping and drug. Some of us know their tactics. One of my neighbor property has been sealed because he was caught for kidnapping last two years. We taught he operates at ladipo spare parts market as he used to say. How come when you meet same people selling same thing, one will be very wealthy and the second will be struggling.

She may not be able to stop it permanently cos both the sellers of fake drug in the east and their people are complacent who always support crime. They attempted to assassinate her in the same Anambra. Thank God a Yoruba woman has come and you people will know the difference. She will continue to burst and destroy and close markets until all of you people will now decide to report those in the business

Who is your so called NAFDAC and where are those so called NAFDAC at the port when those illicit drugs bypass them.

There are so many American pharmaceuticals but costly that are present in that market. Please go and Google this American drug company called Pfizer, it doesn't have NAFDAC approval on their products talk more of UK and other European products like turkey and Germany.
So be guided with your nuisance on Nairaland.

In the instance of the church, every congregant worship under same roof which is why they can be affected by the closure of the church.

But in the market, every shop is independent of each other.
