Yes na Mudashiru Lawal. That was the first golden age of IICC, before the next golden age in the mid 90s that won the Nigerian double and made the CAF CL final
The state governor that time, One Kogi guy was so into sports and spent a lot of money(Orji Kalu followed his model in for Enyimba later and they won), he got Amodu Shuaibu who was like the Pep Guardiola of local coaches that time, He spent money to bring some guys who were the best in local league and didn't find their footing in Europe back

Abiodun Baruwa
Sam Pam, Emanuel Teberen, Ajibade Balade, Sani Abacha, Gbenga Okunowo
Arthur Madueme, Patrick Pascal, Patrick Ovie Duke Udi Dotun Alatishe

Ike shoromu said he had scouts that want to watch him against England only for Onigbinde to play Enyeama and that was the end
That 2002 team was a nonsense team and Nigerians invested time on the team because remember most of our games were in the morning

Why would you forget the goleador of the league back then, Olumide Harris?

Edith Agoye was in UI while playing for Shooting and would still score goals.
