I heard the there should be a minimum of 15 months available on your passport to get a long-term visa.
If you've submitted your passport and they've not reached out, it might be because of that.
They'll reach out to you asking you to renew your passport if that's the case. But it might take up to a month.

Seems they're moving slow again.
Even Ghana consulate is now 35weeks waiting period.
Seems most people will now have to apply for the Opportunity card route and later convert to a student visa on getting to Germany.

You will have to either pay all your tuition fees and collect receipt from the school or block the fees in a block account as evidence that you have the means to pay.
I’m currently experiencing that so that’s all I can say

Lets not lie,this German route requires one to develop a tough skin and have patience. But not really having the patience,the problem with it is, you can't even predict the exact time you'll get an appointment. They might be fast today and slow tomorrow. Some persons end up getting appointment when the Admission window has closed,some have admission and no appointment.
People keep wasting funds to apply each semester (for those who can't defer)should incase the embassy calls. Now that the Embassy is very strict as regards complete documents and not wanting to reschedule,one has to be fully ready and would not want to risk it after waiting for almost two years.
In all,lets just be patient,do our own part and leave it for God!!!

Please let me advise you. On that portal,it clearly states 1year Tuition. You can put it in a blocked account as well and print out the confirmation/statement to show you have that money blocked already.
You see the issue of Admission letter,Blocked Account and that Enrollment, 1 year tuition (for those going to private schools), the Embassy is serious on it now and you wouldn't wana risk,i guess you've waited too long for this opportunity.
Just try to do what ever it takes to provide them that 1year receipt or a separate blocked statement for your fees.

Yeah that one is different,that one is for your monthly upkeep which totals the amount 11,904 Euro.
You can open another account depending on your service provider(e.g Expatrio) and inform them that its for School fees. Then when you get to Germany you can remove the money at once,the monthly restriction does not apply to that account. Hope this helps.

"Soon" is an assurance only the embassy can assert. Let's hope they do so at the earliest

Anyone doing this should be very careful. Reminder, German block account is not like the UK, US or Canada.

1. The account has to be in your name
2. The money will be unblocked by you when you do your city registration in Germany
3. You get only €994 from it monthly over the course of 12 months

No agency will want to see their money kept in a bank dormant for 12 months. So anyone considering this, do this at your own peril.
