Frankly i feel this guy's pain.

My hubby unfortunately was a victim of this 'unfortunate' situation.

I on the other hand, have really enjoyed shopping with Jumia,Konga, dealday even tafaoo without any hiccups.

However, d secret to enjoying this service is to PAY ON DELIVERY.

Short and simple.

Their price is seriously crazy...dey dont think before adding price to deir product. I bought this book "Act like a lady, Think like a man" for #500 and Jumia is selling deirs for #2000. ask dey, wetin we wan buy ooo...mtcheewwww

Have heard of Jumia,bt havnt been able to trust them enough with my money. Well,maybe will give them a trial...thats if the have what i need(a nice song digital camera).
Will visit their site soonest,just for the records;will opt for payment on delivery.

same is hapenning to me right now ordered for a lenovo laptop, wen i called dey said dey av later out of stock cos demand is high, dey gave me an option of re-ordering or refund, i choose refund till now av nt recieved any email from dem. I paid roughly 52k cos of dier super nonsense hot deals. Dnt even knw wen i wil get d refund. Chai i don enter am. Bt which of dier product is nt out of stock

I ordered and paid for a Tablet from Jumia for (N26,923) on the 11th March. I only paid after calling them to confirm the availability and was told it was available, I went on to pay online.

To my shock they called me three days later to inform me that the product is not available and that I should order for something else to which I declined. I asked for a refund and was told the refund will take between 1 - 5 days, it has been more than 8days now and I have been calling them on daily basis to which they keep telling me that it is under process, this to me is kind of FRAUDULENT.

It is an online payment, my experience has always been when online payment for service is unavailable, the fund is sent back to the originating account once all confirmations have been made. I have sent all confirmations, the money is supposed to be returned to the account from which I paid initially. Till Now I am still waiting.

My diliema now is how to retrieve my money, and to also warn unsuspecting customers never to pay before they take delivery of the goods for JUMIA.

Is there anyone in the house that had previously fallen victim of refund? How and when did you get back your money?



THANK GOD FOR YOU. MY FRIEND ORDERED GLASSES AND A PERFUME SINCE VALENTINE. THEY ONLY DELIVERED THE PERFUME AND CLAIMED THEY WERE OUT OF STOCK FOR THE GLASSES. AFTER A WHILE THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT GET IT AND SAID HE SHOULD BUY SOMETHING. BUT HE REFUSED AND ASKED FOR A REFUND... FIRM FEBRUARY TILL DATE NOTHING HAS BEEN DINE AND IF YOU CHECK THEIR WEBSITE THE STATUS OF THE CLAIM SAYS IT HAD BEEN RESOLVED. THEY SHOULD NOT WORRY... HIS FRIEND WHO HE ORDERED THE GIFT FOR HAS DECIDED TO SUE THEIR ASSES IF NOTHING IS DONE BY THE END OF THE MONTH... ECOMMERCE INDEED. FOREIGN SHOPS R MORE TRUTHFUL... JUMIA ARE A SCAM

Which other evidence does he need? They r with his money since february, this is the end of April, 3 months. As far as he is concerned, they have proven themselves false. You have called people scammers with even less evidence.

@Vanchi, reopen that case file. Send them a complaint. Send several emails and post your story all over social media. They want you to leave the money for them. Even if its N1, don't even think about it. Next time, choose pay on delivery.

my order number 300074693. Two (2) orders were made in February 2013 - a perfume and sunglasses.
The perfume was delivered and the sunglasses was not delivered. After several calls to confirm the delay, your customer service said it was not
available yet it was displayed online and it was being paid for.
Going through your website I came across your return policy, under which I found 'refund' which CLEARLY STATES THAT 'If you have already paid for the purchase in cash, we will refund
the full cost of it by transferring the entire amount to your account. If the item was paid for by credit card, the funds will be returned only directly to the card which was used for the purchase'.
In my case, its the REVERSE! The refund was meant to be made since February, 2013 and now it has dragged to April, 2013 which is 3 months now.
My friend and I have called your customer service on numerous counts, yet they keep promising to work on it. It is either they are incompetent or they have chosen not to work on it. Maybe JUMIA has
gotten away with so many people's money in the past and present because I have not received any positive feed back from them.
We are so.....displeased with your action on this matter and we feel we are being taken for granted.
We believe it is FRAUD to showcase what you DO NOT have in stock and allow innocent customers pay for it online.
Also, it is FRAUD not to pay back the total sum that was deducted from the named account for the sunglasses.
We have decided within ourselves we will take JUMIA to court.

I do not work for Jumia and I have no connection whatsoever with Jumia or any of its employees, I only asked for evidence of being scammed before making accusations in here.
