You can say that again my brother! The OP's ignorance and total lack of academic disciplinary utility is gross.I thought I was d only one who found his mindset and little knowledge unfortunate. His sister who studied Biochem is now a banker and that settled it for him.Perhaps in his minute circle, every Microbiologist was a teacher and that became his standard for measuring its utility. To even disparage Political science equally showed his intellectual poverty.I don't even want to comment on his views as regards Accounting because it was highly suggestive of brainwaves attributed to lower primates! To think that some people were concurred with the trash he spewed above! Gosh!!!

overrated doesn't mean useless, but people only hype it.
I stumbled on your thread and my initial response was to quickly take a look at your display profile picture to confirm my guess that threads like this one could only possibly have come from an immature kid, who is very likely obsessed with the fantasies of a forum such as nairaland.

I will leave you to continue to parade your ignorance about and allow your sister to introduce to lessons that will improve your thought process in the days that will follow from now, and that's if she has a clue herself!

100% on point ... In fact my brother, I actually kind of feel bad for the OP. He's probably very young and still learning the ways of our world. One mod with a very cynical sense of humour must have decided to put this on FP for our entertainment (and blasting) because frankly it should never have .... smiley

Wherever they ar they are paid well, they ar never enough, most companies go for biochemists/microbiologists when they cant get Pharmacists. Those u see in drug stores? That's exactly what they want. Its hard to get a Pharmacist work ina place 4 a long time, cos there is always a better offer.Unless he/she is building a career there. Pharmacy is so underated.Who's this op self?

The Dude who created this thread is so dull.how can you say Pharmacy is an overated course?my dear Pharmacy is like a Goldmine now in Nigeria.u say Pharmacist open a shop to sell drugs?do u know how much they make daily from drug sales and how much turnover they get in a month?a Pharmacist is an enterpreneur.talk about medical sales representatives of multinational Pharmaceutical companies.Go and see there payslips and see how much they earn monthly plus incentives when they meet there target.its only Hospital Pharmacy that has made Pharmacy practice in Nigeria look so meager because u find most women in that sector.and when a woman starts given birth she looses focus.a Pharmacy student starts making money even while in school doing part time jobs for this pharmacy outlets u re talking about and starts making 80 - 100k monthly as a kid.i made 200k monthly during my internship when I was 24 years, that's hospital practice and evening part time job in a community pharmacy.some bankers working for 10yrs haven't made dat kind of money.if u know hw much Pharmacist earn abroad ull cancel ur thread and beg for apologies.Pharmacy is even more lucrative than Medicine cos it's a diverse and all encompassing field.

One's certificate and his/her capability to defend that certificate any day any time is what matters today. Some times what we read in school does not really matter but what you have upstairs.
Have you ever been given the opportunity to defend yours before or have you seen any that was given the opportunity?

Here are the few overrated courses in nigeria.

(1). Accounting
this course is overrated,i wonder why someone would spend years studying this course when my sister had B.sc in Biochemistry, went for a 7months training and she is now working in a bank.

Very funny........ If its compusory you posts most especially when u want to attack peoples or thoughts. You should let your rationale be profound.

Back to your post. I will comment about what I know. Working in a bank doesn't qualifies you as an accountant. Of cos I don't need to tell you that, not all departments in the bank are performing accounting related duties. More so, the mere fact that u r even trained to handle petty accounting transation doesn't makes u an accountant, cos u r only being told to act according to instructions; u can't make significant accounting judgement independently. Someone who lack the rudiments of the accounting standards is not an accountant.
