Come on guys, take it easy.

Let me just quickly say have never been a GEJ fan, and perhaps never will. However, this article appeals too much to sensationalism its almost sickening.

The $5.7m was supposed to be refunded to Nigeria since the company (Cerebus) could not live up to its agreement as it failed registration with the SA authorities.. Why they chose the unorthodox means wanting to ferry the money back to Naija in cash, rather than through the bank in question, Standar Chatarted? Well only them can answer.

IT should be noted that nowhere does it suggest GoN involvement, unlike that of the previous case where the Nigerian security adviser was said to have signed the invoice. no link was established between the GoN and the Nigerian company that made the initial payment, Societe D’Equipments Internationaux

Indeed the paper makes this clear:

there was a time european countries built their economy from africa's stolen wealth. who knows how much loot we will never discover. now our fellow african country is collecting free money from an extremely corrupt government in nigeria. but yet, many will support this clueless government no matter what. its soooooooo difficult to understand my people.

if you have ever had a discussion with fellow africans outside nigeria, you will be shocked as how little respect they have for us. this are fellow blacks o. why cant people see that the country and its people's image has gone beyond redemption under this administration. even at the worst of abacha, people dont say this much negative about nigerians. they hated us, but they respected us.

few months ago, i was with a group of internationals and everybody was talking about their country and their president. then they started showing videos of their president talk on youtube. before it got to my turn i quickly did a youtube search, but i could not find a single video of gej talk with any level of intelligence. then i wondered, how can a country of 170million with award winning intellectuals all around the world be governed by such a moronic gej. till now i simply dont understand

i am a southerner, yes it is true that we have had a lot of extremely poor and violent leaders from the north. but take a moment my fellow southerners (am not saying vote for APC oooooo), and let us reason together. the cluenessless of gej and his tolerance of massive corruption has led to more loss of lives and property and loss of status of nigeria than any other government in nigeria. i dont care who you vote for in 2015, but we just have to agree as sane people that gej's inaction and gentleness is even worse that abacha and his killer squad. people are dying, and nigeria cannot even buy weapons to protect its people. haba. how low can this clueless people be.

do not vote for the northerners if you hate them that much (yes am talking to you south easterners) but please vote out gej also.

If you are in Nigeria who will you vote for?

Sorry, but I must say, u sound very foolish! I mean, because some persons may have been misbehaving, u now feel it can make u become a black-american or a russian. Listen, u missed it. Cry, if u like or rather sit up and desire to be the best u want d country to b seen as. Go out there and ask the present VC of a Uni in US. A Nigerian, u'll hear his testimonies and why not...few of such people still stay in this country doing their best to help paint this country the way it should be and not crying and sounding lost as you.

On a second reasoning, some persons should learn to read the wording in a statement and not just the caption. When you do this, you'll be a good critic and not just a follow-yann fellow. So, I implore you guys to read the news again and get the gist.

Yes it will. GMB unlike GEJ has d wisdom, tact, decisiveness, guts & d bandwidth to run a country as intricate as nigeria. During his short stint in charge of our country he clamped down on corruption like no other regime & restored law & order thru d War Against Indiscipline.
He rescued d economy frm total collapse in d worst economic recession in its history & paid a huge part of d external debt incurred by thieving politicians. He rejected d IMF loan & its slavish conditionalities. He refused to devalue d naira & thru economic ingenuity he kept d inflationary rate between 3-5% & d exchange rate at $1 to 1 naira. Yes GMB will do it.

The South African newspaper, City
Press, said documents in its possession
show that the first consignment was
personally signed off by the National
Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, who
issued the end-user certificate for the
transaction.
An entire “shopping list” was supplied
with the certificate, which included
everything from helicopters to
unmanned aircraft, rockets and
ammunition, it said.

From the quote above we can conclude that it was the NSA Who approved the botched $9.3m arms deal and this simply exonerates the CAN President of any complicity am happy this news is not from the Nigerian media, pretty surprised nobody has pointed accusing fingers at Sambo Dasuki. My take the Nigerian Govt is simply desperate to get arms through the black-market and South Africa is simply doing the biddings of World Powers by sabotaging her effort to do so this cannot be money laundering as I type this message a Nigerian Local government chairman, Commissioner,Governor somewhere just successfully laundered money abroad, not even a toddler would not attempt smuggling cash in a suitcase to a foreign country and this incident happened on a Friday September 5 am not sure banks in SA operate weekends so the possibility of lodging it in the bank that day is not possible, secondly there was a receipt of items to be purchased with a seal from the NSA.what went wrong and. Can't tell, thirdly SA has strict laws governing bank transactions compared to some other European countries with less stiffer laws. SA is not a first choice of destination for money laundering.

on this recent $5.7m deal its a wired transaction between two company's with Societe internationaux based in Abuja am waiting for the Nigerian Govt to lay claim to this cash and we all need to find out all the share holders of this French company in Nigeria.
