It was complete commotion yesterday at Kirikiri Medium Prison, Lagos as inmates went on rampage in protest over what they described as highhandedness of the new Deputy Comptroller General. According to eyewitnesses, several prisoners allegedly seized the opportunity to escape, even as officials debunked the escape claim. However, the prison’s spokesperson, Ope Fatinikun, said these claims of escape will be verified when counts are taken of the inmates. Twelve inmates sustaining varying degrees of injuries while an unverified source told newsmen that some inmates were shot by soldiers stationed at the prisons who moved in to quell the riot which followed a protest against an alleged seizure of a fan belonging to an inmate by a prison official. Nigerian prisons are unique in their own ways. You get to hear of inmates owning fans,stoves,etc.Maybe the inmates refused to update his new nepa bill. |

Those useless leaders are the one that supposed to be in prison. There are many people in prisons while they are illegally been kept there because of nigerian stinking judiciary system. What a nonchalant of a country. |
