Buhari will not get a single vote from the SE because all folks there knows he iS the chief sponsor and patron of Boko Haram that have been killing their people up north.

He will get enough votes from the south east!

Even people from pdp impoverished states like abia will vote for him!

The plank in the eyes of the people has been lifted we have seen the light...we are no more in darkness!

What evidences do you have that he sponsors boko haram!

Stop the needless propaganda and baseless accusations don't let the clueless attitude of the incumbent leader permeate your medula!

Corruption is the greatest problem hindering Nigeria's progress.

Nigerians are diligent, Nigerians are intelligent, Nigerians are smart and Nigerians have never ever lacked ideas on the way to move forward. Nigeria is also blessed with abundant human and material resources and as such, has no reason being poor or undeveloped.

The only reason we are where we are today is because of corruption and impunity. Any leadership that can nip or even just minimise corruption will set Nigeria on an unstoppable path to massive development. Attempting to develop the nation without making a single attempt to check corruption (e.g. GEJ) is likened to fetching water with a basket. Any leader who shows even if it's just only a 'willingness' to tackle corruption definitely gets my votes and prayers. His/her religion or ethnicity is not my problem at this time because after arranging my priorities, I think I need a person who is willing to tackle corruption more than I need a person who is from my tribe or religion.

Buhari may not look presentable, Buhari may be old, Buhari may be from the arrogant Hausa-Fulani born-to-Rule clan, but judging from the present crop of individuals we have vying for the top position, Buhari happens to be the only one with a considerably impeccable record in terms of corruption and he's also the only one who has fixed a 1-point agenda which is to stop the corrupt 'business as usual' in higher places, which we all know is our real problem as a nation.

Are you sure about that. It is like sayingJonathan will not get a single vote from the entire North. So if the South East alone votes Jonathan as against the rest of the region. Do you permutations, who then wins.

GEJ is still very popular in the north, plateau, adamawa, kogi benue and other places are his to lose. Buhari on the other hand can't win a state in the SS or the SE. The west will be divided equally between Buhari and GEJ.
PDP already has Ekiti, Ondo and Oyo+Ogun will follow.

Which entire north are you talking about? FYI, there will be no voting in the north-east and the whole North-central will vote for GEJ.

The only people likely to vote for GMB are the North-westerners; GEJ will still get large chunk of votes from there.

Is that not the same EAGLE Square GEJ has been unable to muster the 'liver' to turn up for independence day celebrations for the past four years because his apologists aka MEND blew the place up?

So much for a commander in chief. Eagle square is like a symbol of the Nigerian nation....it(the nation) has been abandoned by the President and his 'liverless' cronies. GMB appearing there sends a strong message even after the attack on his convoy....boldness, courage, bravery, patriotism and a strong will to deliver.

No be to dey wear military ceremonial uniform up and down, dem dey take know proper candidate for commander in chief. Carry go Buhari!!!!

what if he has commanded his boys to embrace peace while he performs.

The eyes of Nigerians have opened although not everyone will choose to see. Atiku should just go and collect his money back because Buhari will floor him in the primaries. Nigeria too can use Lamborghini as taxis like UAE, we can build state of the art hospitals like US with professionals from all over the world. We should not be rubbing shoulders with South Africa. I know deep in the hearts of many Southerners, it is not that the current government has not failed them but they are afraid that Buhari, being a Northerner might enthrone the dreaded Sharia. This is difficult in a secular state like Nigeria, not with a country that has lots of US interest. United States will not allow it. Their investment is here and they will protect it jealously. Buhari knows better not to trail that path. This is why US invited him for a meeting. The truth be said, US is no longer intersted in having GEJ as president of this country same with EU. Even Russia that GEJ is running to are not reliable.

And guess what? The same PDP religious fanatics will go to churches insinuating Jonathan is one of them and also go to people of other religions to beg them to vote for Jonathan. They are just hypocrites. Any true Christian will tell you "Love thy Neighbor as yourself" and "Follow peace with all men, without which, no one can see God" and "whatever you wish that men do unto you, do it so unto them".

After losing love ones to BH and GEJ refusing to go and console them or is it after the chibok girls have not been found or is after GEJ was found celebrating in the North few days after the bombing that killed many in the North. My brother you will be shocked. The only hope for GEJ is to rig the election which I expect him to do anyway. That does no mean I will not support a just leader.

It is nauseating how you drag ethnicity into everything. Why not just support who you personally want to and let others do same? Are you more Yoruba than than the rest of us? Must you insult other Yorubas because they rightly see no good in a Government that has delivered failure everywhere over 5 years? Must you attack others for justifiably wanting change when they gave GEJ, with their votes, one term to perform yet he let everyone down horribly and only succeeded to create the biggest corruption and private jet-owning Oligarchy in Nigeria's history?

What manner of Yoruba are you anyway when the tolerance and live-and-let-live ethos we are known for appears to have bypassed you and your household? My friend, learn to be truly democratic by standing on your own two feet and stop attempting to use insult, blackmail and scaremongering to force others into backing your position. Campaign for your GEJ and leave others to support Buhari. GEJ condemned himself to his current situation by squandering the electoral support and goodwill many Yorubas had for him through terribly woeful and ultra-corrupt leadership over 5 years. I do not know how you can come here in good conscience and insult others for wanting change when they have indulged GEJ for 5 long years. You think you can insult Yorubas into giving a failure another 4 years to further destroy many Nigerian lives and future? Shame on you and your myopically ethnocentric outlook. You are the one who is "BLIND".

Gbawe, I thought u'll be more reasonable but you've just proven me wrong. No insults intended...

Man UTD thought the young David Moyes would be able to lead them to the promise Land but alas they had to run back to the experience of the old Van Gaal to rescue their declining fortunes under David Moyes.

Chelsea thought the young Adrea Vilas Boas will be the one to take them to the promise land but alas they had to run back to the experience of Mourinho to make them formidable again.

Arsenal fans complain about Wenger but I will encourage them to beware of haste generalization. Arsenal would have won the league if other teams didn't keep spending heavily to improve their squads.

This is not to say that young coaches are not doing well but experience shows that young folks are often better at building on a well laid structure. Pep Guadiola built on the structures left him (Both at Barca and Bayern). Others who tried to build themselves are still struggling (Klopp (Dortmund), Diego Simeone (Atletico) and Rodgers (Liverpool) comes to mind). They have shown signs of brillance but are largely still struggling to be consistent.

The current political and economic climate in Nigeria cannot and will never bring out the best in any young politician. They may get choked with the Mirad of problems. I put it to all that perhaps a Fashola wouldn't have been able to perform when all hell was let loose on Lagos in OBJ's bid to secure Lagos for the PDP. Fashola thrived because he built on what Tinubu left.

Unfortuantely even Jonathan came into a mess and has not been able to fix the country not necessarily because he is bad, but the problems of the nation are perhaps beyond what he has the capacity to handle. He might just be suffering from the Adrea Vilas Boas syndrome, skillful but immature and surrounded by the old guard who wouldn't co-operate

A Buhari has experience, is old and definitely couldn't be much interested in looting now. Furthermore, experience has also shown that most men become wiser as they age, they look back and see all their past mistakes or inactions and long for an opportunity to correct them and make an impact. Many who have held or occupied positions will understand this principle.

My take Let Buhari correct the ills in a single 4 year term till 2019 and then let Jonathan continue from 2019 to 2023 (the four years in the wilderness would have opened his eyes to all the areas he could have fully met the expectations of the people).

Let us debate as honourable men and women.

God Bless Nigeria

This lovely. Permit me to quote you on another forum. You just created a nice analogy. It is not by the age but who can do it. The General is still strong. Some where wondering why he flew to Rivers the other day in a private jet and I asked myself why these people are so wicked. He was almost killed the last time by Assassins just because he was going about in his humble SUV. They wanted him dead but there he is still alive.

Lets face the real truth.
Buhari can not be the president of nigeria.
he is a pro-northern
pro terrorist.
Pro islamist.
he is a dictator that does not have the heart of democrat.
He will not wipe off corruption as he is brazenly corrupt as he served in abacha's govt.
He is well known for his utterances that led to the death of 16 corpers.
What achievements have he done while he was the head of state in 1983 to 1985.
We need younger generation not expired waste products.

I want to see them eating and building the nation together.
