vdGeist:I do admit that foreigners invested in part of our industries, but saying it in entirety is ignorant! nigerians (blacks) developed their financial industry for instance, world class banks with branches in more than 10 countries including Europe . what about that? we own telecommunications companies (blacks) ... what about that? the biggest SME market on the continent, what about that? shall I provide proof? |

knightsTempler:irrespective of political career and ambitions, a leader is expected to speak the harsh tricep sometimes. This is what people don't want to hear but if its the reality on ground then why not work towards changing it. |

iterator25: With the oil money, and long period of peace (compared to other African countries), hasn't Nigeria been under performing? Look at how much Angola has achieved in the ten years they've been peaceful with their oil money.l |

iterator25: Southern Nigeria will be better off without the North, in fact, Biafra would've been a great country. |

iterator25: These are the two most developed States, and the Lebanese have contributed far more than the native Nigerians into making them great. Their real wealth is hidden, I heard that the guy behind EKO Atlantic is richer than Dengote. |

iterator25: But the Northerners and Westerners have been marginalising the SE and SS, don't northerners and westerners own most of the oil blocks in Delta region, they've used the Biafran oil to develop their own region. |

vdGeist:not sure about what the media says, in my books nobody got marginalised, you put your money where your mouth is.. The same SE and SS you speak of also own some of nigeria's biggest banks and oil blocks |

iterator25: But why aren't there Billionares from the East, all the billionares are are northerners and westerners, the richest black woman in the world got rich from Niger Delta oil, she was given an oil block for free by Sani Abacha, that money clearly belongs to a Niger Deltan. The people from SE and SS are clearly second class citizens in Nigeria. They are also the most hardworking and intelligent, which is why they lead in the WAEC. |

Ignorance is bliss. Afrikaners where generally poor peasants who where considered inferior by the British.(Boer means farmer). Their emergence was only in 1948 when they got hold of the government from the Brits. That's when they began to implement their own form of Afrikaner empowerment which was spearheaded by the Afrikaner broederbond. They flushed out all the Brits from the government and replaced them with Afrikaners, they used government money to finance Afrikaner owned companies which are now very big in SA. They also implemented apartheid because they feared that blacks would interfere with their empowerment. I can go on and on about how Afrikaners empowered themselves using government resources. But what's safe to conclude is that the boer(farmer) was a second class citizen until 1948. 2 Likes |

paniki:the argument is not about the poor boers but the people that developed SA. the grand decision makers, the investors etc... 98% of all was in place pre-94 |
Re: Foreigners Are Not Lazy Like You Poor South Africans - Zuma Says by iterator25: 8:58am On Oct 22, 2014 |
vdGeist:not sure if you understand the meaning of a second class citizen. . one of nigeria's biggest bank was the idea of someone from the south. Africa's first black auto maker innoson motors is from the south, a lot have billions worth of investments in the west .. I don't get what you mean by second class citizen just because some people are not on billionaires list! we have over 200 ethnic groups just for the record! |

Re: Foreigners Are Not Lazy Like You Poor South Africans - Zuma Says by Nobody: 9:18am On Oct 22, 2014 |
iterator25: Ha ha, they've done great against the push down from above, they don't rely on government support like the other regions. Innoson is not the first black auto maker, he assembles imported Chinese car parts and puts his own logo on them, no different to Ford SA or the other car assemblers in Nigeria or Kenya. The Chinese design, test, consult and manufacture. |

iterator25: Ha ha, how do they call the shots? And. where does 80% come from? I was expecting those redundant line. |
Re: Foreigners Are Not Lazy Like You Poor South Africans - Zuma Says by paniki(m): 9:27am On Oct 22, 2014 |
iterator25: I'm not sure where you get the 98% statistic. I won't be able to debate with you if you thumb suck numbers. The argument has already been settled that whites developed most of the developed parts of Africa(Nigeria included). The difference is that South Africa has been maintaining, integrating and expanding what has already been developed while in places like Nigeria you see decay of British development and the little development that happens is spearheaded by foreigners(South African included). So while you speak of pre-1994 grand decision makers, the reality is that in Nigeria the grand decision makers remain foreign people. 2 Likes |
