Jonathan has been an embarrassment to Nigeria and Nigerians at large. How can this guy have Ph.D and still does things the way he rules Nigeria? Jonathan embarrasses this country anywhere he goes. PhD degree is not a certification of intelligence. It only takes the knowledge of an aspect of a singular discipline to obtain a PhD. A PhD holder in Sociology for example would definitely not know how to solve the least Calculus problem. GEJ does not have a PhD in management or "governance" so his PhD degree should not be a subject of reference when trying to castigate his style of leadership.

Examination is not the true test of knowledge neither is a Ph.D a yardstick for determining leadership and good governance.

The only issue is that being educated does not guarantee that someone can rule successfully , which i believe is GEJ problem. Ph.D sociology can be diversified. In fact, you can have phd sociology in public governance, health, crime, guns, environement, in economics, in mathematics, in any course.

If you have a Phd in Sociology of Health and have a Masters in Public health, you can work in health institutions and earn more pay. You can be a political sociologist. Anything in sociology. So what are u saying?

Back to the Topic: We have Ph.D with pedigree and Ph.D just for fun. Jonathan had the Ph.D for fun and not for continuous research purpose. And in fact, what is re-searchable in the zoo. Are we animals?

At times I weep when I read some people's comment. Its a shame that even the people that are learned have a myopic nd bigoted approach to so many things in life including EDUCATION.


Here is my view on the Prof's speech. You dont even have to be learned before you know how to govern any society. The issue here is that no matter your field of specialisation as a learned person or the degree you have acquired, your approach to some certain elements in life should show a significant difference when comparst with those that are not learned. Even my BASIC 6 brother knows the certain things that Nigeria as a country needs.

At times I wonder if Jonathan ever went to school or he ever taught as a lecturer. He is a disgrace to EDUCATION itself.


In conclusion, Jonathan will be doing himself a big favour if he does either of these things:

1. He tenders his resignation letter and he should allow a competent person rule this nation irrespective of religious background and ethnicity

2. Or, he should make a restitution and begin to behave and make approach to things like learned people do.
