PhD degree is not a certification of intelligence. It only takes the knowledge of an aspect of a singular discipline to obtain a PhD. A PhD holder in Sociology for example would definitely not know how to solve the least Calculus problem. GEJ does not have a PhD in management or "governance" so his PhD degree should not be a subject of reference when trying to castigate his style of leadership.

If you read between the lines of my post, you would have easily discerned that my point isn't about the prof's opinion about how the country is being governed - or about his "indictment" of Jonathan's leadership capabilities. People are free to criticize government figures and policies. Even Obama receives scathing criticism daily from those who are not impressed by his leadership.

I used to hold the professor in high esteem many years ago when he often demonstrated deep knowledge of international and constitutional law, and a good grasp of topical issues in the polity. Unfortunately, senility must have set in rather early, and the good old professor has reduced himself to pitiful wantonness in speech, manner, and comportment in recent times.

Reliable sources allege that Professor Oyebode has joined the list of "Yoruba Intelligentsia" who have soiled their hands (and brains) with Bola Tinubu's and the APC's corrupt patronage. The combined effects of early onset senility, elements of tribal prejudice, and the in-flow of easy money from the opposition's coffers have ignited mental degradation and outright degeneracy in this once scholarly, once respectable old academician.

This wanton outburst ridiculing the president's PhD (in the specialist field of Zoology) merely because of Oyebode's SUBJECTIVE evaluation of the president's leadership is a shameful indictment of Oyebode's mental state. He has just shown himself to be a disgrace to professorship worldwide.
