Op... I think it's very simple, men's stuffs are less expensive so that we (guys) can help them (women) with the remaining balance to pay for their expensive stuffs .

Come to think of it, if the reverse was supposed to be the case, we both know that some (may be small %) of the girls won't still be able to get the stuffs without depending on guys. Whether they have the money or not, that's another area entirely.
