No, there were not, they were armed with mainly AK47 riffles, farmers can't operate "technicals" and yes your men would have laughed considering they are only use to beautiful things, but their laughter would have changed to surprise, then dismay....then fear...then horror.

The battle of Bangui was a uptempo one, with various stages. The Igirigi would have offered no advantage and would have been easily taken out by the SANDF.

Remember, China offered you a loan to build your infrastructure using their China based companies to carry out such projects. On the other hand Chinese benefit from the loan which they offered you that you still have to repay. What a s,tupid move!!

Meanwhile, SA has moved on from constructing surface railway many years ago before my grandparents were born and now they construct only underground and overhead railway, something you are yet to construct.

We are currently busy rolling out a project to join Johannesburg and Durban on a fast rail on an underground tunnel and overhead rail.

In any case, Nigeria has just received a package, alongside other African countries for infrastructure. Even their flood management project in Ibadan is supported by aid.

Those sub-standards machines are utilised by world superpowers today. The US has plenty of proudly SA made military products and many other countries including Nigeria.

SA does not ask money from BRICS and instead they have allocated $10 billion for the establishment of the BRICS bank which will give loans to the developing countries like the likes of Nigeria.

South African policies help reduce poverty, says World Bank report

SOUTH Africa’s fiscal policies lifted 3.6-million people out of poverty in 2010-11, a World Bank report has found.

The SA Economic Update, released on Tuesday, found that SA’s fiscal policies are cutting the rates of poverty and inequality, and that tax and social benefits are effectively redistributing income from rich to poor.

We find that fiscal policy is very progressive in South Africa — it benefits the poor more than the rich," World Bank economist Catriona Purfield told reporters in Pretoria.

"We find that because of fiscal policy, large reductions are made in poverty and inequality — in fact they are the largest reductions due to fiscal policies in our sample of 12 countries."

The other 11 middle-income sample countries were Armenia, Bolivia, Brazil, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Ethiopia, Guatemala, Indonesia, Mexico, Peru and Uruguay.

Ms Purfield said the report showed that SA’s tax system was slightly progressive, in that the rich paid a higher share than the poor in income tax and value-added tax.

She said social spending, such as child support and disability grants, old age pensions and free basic services lifted the lowest income from a "tiny" R200 a year, to R2,800 in 2010-11.

"Because of those cash transfers... and free basic services, the poverty rate after receiving those falls to 39% (from 46.2%)," Ms Purfield said.

"That is a reduction of 3.6-million people — you have lifted them above the poverty line thanks to your effective use of fiscal policy."

Pakistan has highlighted further opportunities to export its military equipment to Bahrain and Nigeria.Government statements said that Pakistan is pursuing opportunities for further defence trade and related industrial collaboration with both nations. The government also noted its ability to offer "good offset programmes" to its defence export customers, although did not elaborate.
Following meetings between Pakistan and Nigerian defence officials on 17 March, a statement outlined opportunities to increase defence trade and joint production programmes.
Nigeria is a known target customer for the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex JF-17 Thunder aircraft, jointly developed by Pakistan and China. It has also previously expressed interest in acquiring Al-Zarrar main battle tanks produced by Heavy Industries Taxila, Kaan 33 fast attack craft constructed by Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works, and a range of firearms.

You always seem to be backward with everything. Move with time and keep up to date with the current. A while ago SA graduated from developing to a newly industrialised nation, so officially SA is an NIC together with Russia, China, Brazil, India, Indonesia, Turkey, etc.

SA is an NIC and so stop bringing new terminology that will be difficult for you to explain. SA is an industrialised nation and let it end there.

Why do you act like an illiterate when you are not. SA is an NIC, a mixture of developing and developed. There are many places in SA which can be classified as developed.
