Did you bother with the context in which the statement was made. Knowing the amount of Luxury goods sold and bought in a country are some of the indices used to check the PPP of a country, get it? she is trying to point out the fact that the poverty level in Nigeria is reducing and i guess you not happy about it!..so what do you want to hear?? that all Nigerians are POOR?? if that's your believe then i'm sorry to disappoint you, WE ARE NOT AS POOR AS YOU WANT TO THINK!!!!!
. Well i dont think i need someone to point it out to me dat we are actually developing,i can see development with My two eyes. When a govt is able to give me a steady power supply, good road networks, secuirity, employment for the millions of jobless youths, good and affordable health care service etc that is wen i'll believe that we are progressin. I dont need no Okonjo to tell me dat we are growin. The fact dat u can afford a good meal and better ammenities does not mean dat everybody can afford d same. And mind u,no one is askin the govt to start givin us money but wen a govt can provide an enablin environment for the masses then we will kno dat we are growing!.

Shey the cars 'we' bought with loan with heavy interest?

Fine years loan, car don depreciate, guy never finish loan payment?

Come 2015, February precisely, Nigeria is going to pick the right team to handle our affairs, Insha Allah.

Enough of this Fresh Hardship, Enough of PDP 15 years of bad governance, Enough of GEJ's cluelessness.

If you are looking for roads to drive your cars, come to Akwa Ibom, where the roads are smooth with no pots holes and usable day and night.

How ironic that this very Aka Ibom has few people who can actually afford money to buy a car to drive on these beautiful roads. The state is so beautiful but unemployment and poverty is the people's lifestyle

Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala also stated that the Goodluck Jonathan administration has reformed the import waiver system but emphasized that the policy was selective.

She said prior to the advent of Jonathan as president, the import waiver system was characterized by sharp practices. According to her, “before President Jonathan came on board, the import waiver system was bad. They were either issued arbitrarily, were lopsided and not good for any economic environment.”

She added that three years ago, when she came on board as minister the first issue the president put before the first meeting of the National Economic Management team was the import waiver which he felt was selective, lopsided and led to the midnight visits. “We are happy to announce that the policy has since been reversed and the import waiver system reformed.”

She stated that the reform of the waiver system was not the only significant achievement of the Federal Government under President Jonathan.

And who was the Finance Minister that supervised the abuse of import waivers between 2003 and 2007?

going by your analogy if you have over 40 million names registered in the car licensing data base will that corroborate her stats or not?

Are you seriously going to count multiple vehicles registered by the same person as separate? If I own 2 cars, am I automatically 2 Nigerians? I'd laugh if you guys think we're all dense.
