INTERALIA:the answer is yes from my own research, you can as well check try and find out yourself, is like a requirement from the commission in charge of their universities and you can do they 1st degree anywhere, even here in Nigeria before applying, they still have remedial programmes that can prepare you for medicine but is really expensive... so I advice you research more, if it same with mine, you secure admission for your brother here in Nigeria after the programme he can then apply for medicine over there... |

diamondsare4eva:copy the document to word, after arranging them, then save it as pdf file, you can then go to smallpdf.com to compress it the more if it's more than 4mb after saving it as pdf file...hope this answers your question? |

mesh2003: hmmm,BC, it is well o, learnt things are on the expensive side around that axis though good weather compensates especially vancouver. How is their application for PR for int'l students like?I think you can only apply after you start working or so. all the best. |

ferdimako: I meant Caribbean Unis that offer residency programs in the US. They often practice in the US after their residency. Although, on the website of some, like the University of west indies, they are willing to accept high school students but I doubt if that will be possible. A church member, Canadian born Nigerian with a degree in biology from McMaster is starting at that uni next year. So there is tough competition into those ones too. You are right, American Uni's won't accept a candidate without premeds. Canada: Although, candidates can enter straight from High school but it's so competitive that students go for first degree in bio-sciences+volunteering to increase their chance of getting in, yet it's no guarantee. In fact, university of calgary now requires for 2015 admissions that a candidate must have completed at least two years of undergraduate studies and won't accept applications from International students except students from institutions or countries that have formal, contractual agreements with their School of Medicine. |

saxywale: you should consider the universities in the Caribbean. it is cheaper and He/She will be admitted to study Med and good news is most of the schools are in partnership agreement to Universities all over (Canada, North America, South America, Europe, Australia etc etc). If He/She is serious with his studies, he can just transfer to any school of his choice. Pretty easy and straight forward. We have Canadians, British and Americans here for Med. Especially Americans. lillaowow: He/she won't be able to transfer to any of the Canadian medical schools. They don't accepts transfer students from outside Canada. The sure bet would be the US. Even after residency in the US, he/she won't still be able to practice in Canada because Canada does not accept the USMLE. To work in Canada as an international medical graduate doctor, he/she would have to do the entire Canadian certification process i.e write MCCEE, MCCQE Part 1, MCCQE Part 2, and the Canadian board exams for the residency that he/she did in the United States. But then again, Doctors earn more in the US so most would just continue their practice in the US and not bother about coming back to Canada. |

chuckie414: I doubt if you can add any more document to your application unless it is requested my the CIC. If your SOA or your sponsor SOA is robust to cover your study or at least the first year. Bro u are good to go. U don't rally need the tuition fee receipt. 1 Like |
