laws,norms,and mores do not exist because a "god" does....they exist because of people....and people need to have a way with interacting with others that gives everyone no compromise of his/her own well-being....
I do not need magical transcendent beings to tell me chopping of somebody's head is bad....because I do not wish it projected on myself either and it has no value to the persons well-being....

Here as a human, you've heard and read about the coming king, about the end of the world and what you're to do to escape from the impending doom. Now you neglect the warnings and teaching because you think it's all false, but i ask myself and every wise person should also ask himself. "what if it turned out to be true, what if a God afterward do exist? What if actualy the end of the world really comes?". Why not believe, obey and serve this God, perhaps if it happens to be true, you wouldn't be a fool at last, on the contrary, if this happens not to exist, then you revert to your old belief. Either way you have absolutely nothing to loose (so to say) .
