Hello, friend's. My case is likely unusual. My Canadian friend has agreed to help me come to Canada and also agreed to help me with job by speaking to the right people as he know them. I studied Petroleum Engineering and finished my NYSC this year in March with no on-job experience yet. What are my chances of getting a job in Canada? Would I have to go through school all over again to be accepted like it's done in the US, I mean like obtaining an Msc or something? He said he can send me Visa. He is quite affulent... Yes, a multi millionaire and we have been friends since 2012. Visa and financial support wont be a problem. People may be wondering how I got connected to such a person from Nigeria and may likely doubt the authenticity of my story. But all I can say is grace of God at work. So guys, please help with necessary information that would best suit my case. What and what do I have to do? CC NewAcca Justwise Siga I need your help please. |

ipain:What more help do you need? You have an influential friend who can send a visa from Canada to Nigeria and with all the money needed. All you need now is pick up your visa, book a ticket, pack you stuff and head to the airport, job will be waiting for you in Canada because your friend can make ways even where there is none. I need to go back to school to study a course called common sense is not actually common. 7 Likes |

If I were the moderator, I'd delete that post (from ipain) straight up. It wasn't sharing useful info nor was it asking for sensible help...yet it was a long read. Mschewww! We keep getting more of that posted here and this forum becomes a sham, spam or scam... Rubbish! 2 Likes |

xeshie: Morning boss, I'm not sure I get you correctly. Who's the student? You or her? As in are you asking about how she can accompany you while you study or how you can sponsor her to Canada to study. Both are possible and in both cases, you will need to submit your marriage certificate along with the usual complete study permit app requirements. You will also need to show substantial available funding in your statement of account, to cover the total living expenses for both of you. I hope this helps. The house is here to share other opinions. |

justwise:Jesus christ of Nazareth... If knew about everything regarding travels, would I come here? See all the insults you guys just meted out to someone seeking for information. I know zilch when it comes to issues like things like this and even if I would take it easy with other folks on here. Not you Justwise cos I expected a much matured response from you... I expected you to educate me. Can't see the naivity in my post and advise like an elder brother...? Man, I am disappointed at your post. I mentioned you for a reason but all you could come up with was indirect insult, even if you wish to deny it. Anyway, thanks for it. I blame myself for bringing such questions on here. What if my friend isn't even aware that such isn't possible to send Visa? I will keep you posted how things turn out. Thanks for the insults. 3 Likes |

@Ipain: From everyone's reaction, you can see you are on the wrong thread. What we do here is assist each other with legitimate info on how to study in Canada. If you say your guy in Canada wants to sponsor you to study in Canada, then, there is hope but with getting you visa, work, etc, you will be on a longgggggggggggggg thing.Try and also google to see the various ways of entering Canada, then, you will understand why some people believe education is more than finishing from school but learning from the real world/life (smile). all the best. |
