justwise:I understand and appreciate your concern. No, the person I am dealing with isn't a scammer. I must confess that he has been very helpful since I knew him. Even the thing that fetch me as much as $500-$1000,though not consistently but it's better, right here in Nigeria, he taught me. Not yahoo yahoo o. Before una pounce on me again. I am just using a different handle to post this for personal reasons. He is not asking me for a dime. I will let you all know how things turn out. Regarding career, I will be back to ask questions. I was here around 2010 looking for info to Canada but when means of raising capital was not possible, I buried the thought. That was when newacca was very active on here and was declined on the basis of health issue. What do you expect from me when there are no means to get funds and now that someone wants to help? As a matter of fact, I have a half American brother. Same mother both different dad. He isn't willing to help and I don't want to go to him. He didn't grow up here in naija so, he does not know how we relate here. I gave up the thought in 2010 when he said he can't help, not that he does not have the capacity. Well, I will let you all know how things unfold. We will all learn from this. |

xeshie: I think you are on the right track sir; apply for the condition change/ pgwpp/student permit extension as it may apply to you, then add your wife to the package by declaring her in the Family information form as your company. Then she fills a TRV application form too with the necessary requirements for a TRV app. Just my humble opinion because honestly, I have had no personal experience on this issue, I'm only trying to draw up educated guesses on it. But I'm sure it is possible, only that it's not a common case discussed on this thread. I'll love to know how this goes tho... and I'm sure other house members would, as well, so keep us posted on the matter. All the best sir. 1 Like |

@Ipain Ok, at least now we understand that it was sheer ignorance… which really is not an excuse (especially in 2014). Sorry about the perceived insults. A safer approach would’ve been for you to observe first to understand that there is a procedure to follow before “Travelling to Canada” and it’s that procedure we discuss. On a day to day basis on the thread, we refer to links on the CIC website. There’s a simple questionnaire there to determine your own eligibility as your case proves. The idea of a Canadaian or anyone sending you a visa raises suspicion of a scam; only the CIC can approve one for you and if you didn’t know that already, I’m sorry, you really cant blame anyone for that miseducation. Almost any information is out there on the internet… on Google, which is probably your browser homepage. I don’t expect anyone to apologise to you for the harsh responses because anybody with illegal intentions will post that kind of message u posted. But now that I can sense some sort of innocence in your other posts, I guess my conscience is too soft to not give an apology cos I also may have remarked too harshly at your post. A lot of people here have been through a lot and are going through a lot still so this thread could be really sensitive at times. … in other words, Mr/Ms ipain, no be only u dey pain… No vex. I think you should visit and navigate www.cic.gc.ca. Make it your homepage if possible… All the best. |

ipain:young lady, no body insulted you, you have the visa, so you don't have any need coming here for help and your write up was not like you were asking question or seeking for help, but all the same, wah they did was like to tell you is never possible, no application, no biometric, no medicals, next thing visa, even the number citizen of a country, can't assure you that, so my advice is, play along with the guy, once it involves sending money so they can process one thing or the other, they can even ask you to send them money so they can send you, your visa, my dear, you just run for your dear life and save your hard earned money. |

@Siga: Uncle, a million Thanks. You inspire always and have great sense of humour. May your tribe grow here. Your response are so tempting that am now considering reviving my dream of yesteryears except that age is no more on my side for this TRV thing. Twice applied in 2006, when all original certificates and travel doc have to be submitted from day 1 of the application to the last day of CIC decision. Was refuse on a false ground that I did not include my evidence of admission even when I had paid 1 year Tution for a 2 year program.Anxiety for so long a time caused me High BP and no one to encourage and inspire NOT to give up the way you and others have been doing here. Thumb up for being a candle in the darkness. GOD bless all the NL family. Coming here daily just to get inspired, amused and learn has been pleasurable experience. Best wishes to you all.
