See confusion everywhere na wa ooo....

Nairalanders,do not send transport fare to anybody you can't vouch for. This is getting too damn messy.

I wil nominate this dude(Mynd44) and Caracta to act as the voice of nairaland.

MYND44,if you are reading this,i'm sorry I called you out but you are the only one I can think of right now that can act fast. You've done it b4 and you can do again. Please we need your help!!!

Mynd was part of the initial plan until the location got funny

@Busybody....I hear you. That's the problem with these medical institutions.....some are like vampires....will bleed every kobo out of you then watch you in the eyes and say they have done all that is medically possible.

And that was his main concern and reason for going to Eruwa with a fixed cost in place. At the time people were screaming Reddington, all he had was circa N400k, which would not last him two days there...

@
Miss Caracta, kindly get in touch with him to reassure him he should wait till the Doctor attends to him today. Reassure him he will be provided with an ambulance to ferry him to UCH or Reddington or wherever he might end up, that Nairaland would not withdraw support...

I am out of the question. I stay in in the SS, moreover, the only thing I understand in Yoruba language is the many insults flying around here- Oniranu, oloshi. I would only waste money if I decide to make this trip.

Wonder why transport fare should be sent to whoever wants to assist. It's not like going down there would exceed 1,000naira.
I believe it is someone who stays within that location should visit on our behalf and not sending money to an unknown identity.

TO WHOMEVER IT MAY CONCERN - You know "yourselves"

This is a "very sensitive" thread and should not be used for the politics playing out here...This thread should not be the platform for any "i told you so" ish...

I just got off the phone with the doctor, dude said he left the hospital by 11am and can't say anything about that. He was very uncooperative and I ended up not getting the little info I requested viz: how is OP?
I politely ended the call to avoid saying a wrong thing. I've followed this thread from the word go and won't relent till the Op is well. Please my fellow kindhearted Nairalanders, check on Op if u live around the hospital, I get palpitations each time I come online for updates.
Sister, Good day. How have you been? Well done

Last update says he was still with the doctor. I agree with you on your fears in the previous post. Nigeria is such a onekind country and not everybody has the kind of good heart displayed here. Some people are desperately wicked sha, but God pass them.

Anybody who will want to take the information so far passed hereon and harm Djdola or enrich his/her pocket will be afflicted with some thing worse than what the young man is suffering today. I say this from the depths of my heart and its sealed.

We still need mature and sane volunteers sha.

I wanted to go and check him today before and I ask for where the place is located nobody seems to answer, I stay in Ibadan and from my office to Eruwa should be less than 1 hour

Then, let's wait for later today when Caracta will call them again.

If there's no positive report, then maybe it's time to look at UCH/LUTH/Reddington or even Lagoon.

Well, I had quietly decided to take a step back because of the way the family were behaving and a few pple did d same.

Now , if he goes to Reddington, lets say they charge 3m. Can nairlanders not raise dat money?

Social media is a powerful tool and we have it.

But the op is at risk of losing pples sympathy if his family does not refrain from doing as they pls wit his life.

This is the main reason why he shouldn't go
If you are volunteering you should have a way to get yourself there
Is he going by flight?
What nonsense

Just called a contact at UCH just in case we conclude going there. He doesn't have much info about the strike but said its for nurses not doctors (though he wasn't too sure o). He later said we should get there as early as possible tomorrow so as to be attended to on time
Just got the right info. He said the lab scientist, radiographers and co have been on strike for over 2wks now.And Johesu wants to join them dis week. Said they will be holding their meeting tomorrow to conclude on the strike but the doctors are on ground. What's the use then?

Dear All,

I am confused on what the status is. Is he in the hospital ?

Can't they take him to UCH and we raise funds ?

Please i am ready to transfer #50,000.00 immediately one of the people coordinating this can confirm a way forward on hospital.

narration will be "dammytosh nairaland to hammed". I am ready to transfer right away.

I do not subscribe to taking him to any native doctor and will not be a part of it.

Let them take him to UCH or any good teaching hospital.

Honestly, if he was taken to Reddington, there would be a headway now.
I can't fathom why the family who were in need for just money for test chose to tow the Eruwa lane.
Their thoughts and complain initially would have been "supposing we have money, we would have taken you to the best hospital".
Now money came, but they went to a place that was never on their blueprint.
Delay they say is dangerous and that's my vexation.
DJ's case atm is beyond jumping from place to place where he would be used as a specimen.
Only those who have lost someone so precious in cases like this and those who have an insight on the nigerian health sector would understand why he has to be attended to swiftly and flown out.

Fact is, I don't trust any teaching hospital or private hospital in cases like this.
Looking at the doctors, they seem not to care if a patient is dying. They don't mind running different scans and xrays. They waste time on a dying patient.

Serious sicknesses like this make for a very confusing time

Don't blame them
I am certain no one wants DJ well and on his feet better than his immediate family

No be clear eyes persin dey take enter cherubim and Cele and other white garment congregations

Yes I agree. They might be confused. Thinking of where to start raising funds from and other stuffs like that.

But can somebody tell them the bill is for Nairalanders and we will foot it.

They should take him to UCH. Knowing the spot light on him, the Doctors there will take care of him and we raise the funds to foot the bill.

My Pledge stands and i dnt need more than a day notice by the coordinators to go ahead with it.
