I am also thinking that testing equipment would be limited at a clinic...and his may be from circa 1901!...but on the other hand we can't disregard experience and the alternative remedies. Let's have our fingers crossed...but remain upbeat.

I did not speak with the doctor. I spoke with DJ. I don't have the doctor's number but I think it's somewhere on this thread. Even if I had spoken with the doctor, I don't think I'd understand. Nevertheless, I can check previous pages of this thread for his number and whoever wants to call the doctor can go ahead.

I've made arrangements for a popular Nairalander to visit him tomorrow and speak with the doctor and also see the situation of things. He would stay for as many days as possible. That part is covered already.

Okay then, we await reports from him.

The prefix "chronic" does not mean a patient is at death's door and I claim this is not DJDOLA's portion in Jesus' name. "Chronic" in medical term means a condition that has lasted more than 6 months, whilst its "opposite" acute means something that started suddenly...

Some CLD don't need surgery, just medication or maybe a lifestyle change...so hopefully DJDOLA would be back on his feet before the end of this week in Jesus' name...

I am hopeful, very hopeful it won't be as scary as some are making it seem. Its possible sef that the doctor who was handling him at LUTH is a student doctor sef. I don't think a specialist handled his case at LUTH. These student doctors can sabi know how to scare somebody. I choose to believe this because its calming to my soul.

I remember when I was ill and went to a hospital to run a malaria test some years ago and because I didn't want to self medicate, I asked not only to run malaria test but to see the doctor. The student doctor then took my BP and shouted chei! Just the shout alone could have killed me. Then again he told me " so you stay alone, better find somebody to be staying with you incase you have heart attack in the night. Your bp is very high 140/100 and something bad may happen to you when you are alone" (paraphrased). I didn't know a thing about BPs then and to be honest, I almost died. Lol. Anyway, the point is, some of these doctors know how to exaggerate a case. I pray that's how it is in this case and that our bros will be out of that place stronger.

I don't have his brother's number to get across to him, so that he can locate them... Though he promised me that he would go back tomorrow to recheck...

D questions u posted above are essential relevant ones his case demands,but wud a doctor reveal dat to a "concerned",non relative on d fone,I doubt,@least I wudnt.
I think d better approach wud b for d designated person,persons dat wud b visiting him 2moro to get d relevant answers frm d doc in person wt d results of all supporting tests/scans done thus far afta getting such permission frm djbola himself or d relations.
We all want d best for dis guy,eruwa was not d preferred choice,but he is dere now,d dr feels he can handle d case.Let's wait for direct face to face feedback frm those who wud c djbola and d dr hopefully 2moro,den take d next step frm there.My opinion though.
