RIP to a real hero. I this should make front page in nairaland. I have never seen any picture of dead Nigerian army heroes make front page on this website. Only pictures of so called celebraties make the front page. The other dead soldier picture didn't make the front page last week but Davido secondary school picture made the front page. Nairaland should make it an habit of honoring our dead heroes by posting their pictures to the front page.

Nigeria is losing too many fine and promising young officers in this war. We haven't read about an any elderly officer in the 50yrs bracket been killed ,only young promising men. Where are the colonels,and major generals ?why aren't they at the frontlines ?

Have you asked yourself why our soldiers, while on UN peacekeeping mission do well; but when defending their country (like the ongoing war with Boko Haram) perform badly? Is it that they are not petriotic? Have you asked yourself if the UN arms them better?

This soldier is a Northerner, he died fighting for his country against Boko Haram the same way several Northerners who make up the CivilianJTF died while fighting against Boko Haram.

Many Northern Islamic cleric have been killed because they preached /spoke against Boko Haram e.g Ibrahim Birkuti, Liman Bana, Sheikh Adam Albani etc.

The Northerners have been the worst affected by Boko Harams terror yet some people still wrongly and ignorantly accuse them of being Boko Haram supporters. Its high time we see this war against Boko as a Nigerian problem and not Northern problem alone.
