Der is a supa-cute chic dat stays around my area. I mean supa-cute. She is so fuccken gorgeous! She has a smile dat make a man's brain pause for like 2 secs and restart again. And she always dresses to kill.

We always bump into each oda in a particular shop, sometimes on sundays wen am going to or returning from church, and sometimes at the atm. And in all occassions, she is always d first to say hello, accompanied with dat her weaponised smile. One day I couldnt bear it anymore, I decided to strike a conversation with her at d atm, and den I got her name and her number. Since den we've been chatting via facebook and text msgs.

She often made gramatical blunders in her texts and fb chats but I saw dem as just typos cos me sef day make d same ommissions and typos wella. But when we finally had a date and I finally got to hear her speak, damn! Dis babe is not fluent with english at all! My ears almost collapsed becos of her gramatical errors. And its not just her tenses. She also has very few vocabulary. So I have to explain d meaning of words like upload, introvert, temperament, compatible, etc, before she can undastand wot am saying. I had to quickly switch over to pidgin make I no embarass d babe with questions and explanations.

Its so bad now cos she addresses me as 'my love' in her texts. I got to ask her abt it and she said she loved me. And its so obvious cos one can actually see d glow of passion in her eyes and on her skin. And dat even makes her more desirable.

But I cant stand anoda 15 minutes with dis chic becos of her gramatical missiles. I've been avoiding her and she even knows it. She sent me a text to dat regard and I had to lie dat I travelled and I've been busy.

I want to tell her abt her english problem. Cos its an eye-sore for such a pretty lady to hav such a problem. But I dont know how she wd see it. Wot if she picks offense cos am correcting every sentence she makes? Wot if she complains dat I dont accept her d way she is? Wot if it damages her self esteem and she begins to avoid me? Wot if she's a slow learner? And she is fuccking 27 yrs old!

Am not yet in love with her oh! And am not trying to mold her into shape. I just want her to improve her english for her own good, weda we date or not. Am already tired of avoiding her.

So guys wot do u think? Shd I tell her abt her problem early enof and in a very polite way, or do I ignore it till tins get more serious between us?

Am rily bothered and wd rily appreciate some good advice.

there's no crime in trying to shapen someone
it's the approach that matters
correct her with love in all humility.
don't rub it on her face

her reaction to these corrections will determine wether she is worth dating or not

But baby u don't told me all this things early ;( now u are here telling everybody that I speaks bad. Seriously,u can never have a normal relationship with her,be it platonic or romantic with d sorry state of her diction. See tuface dat used to speak horribly now speaks fluently cos he had good people around him who told him he needed to up his game and now hez good. So,tell her and I dnt think she wld be offended. Are u willing and ready to tutor her?

She's 27yrs Old. And you want her to go back in time and study english?... Bullshít. grin

Dude you don't even love her, so just skip over and get lost. Who says you need English to get hooked?..

Besides, one dude's turn-off another man's turn-on.
She will get to work and improve her vocabulary when the ‘right’ guy propose. WTF dude?... tongue

Since you hold diction as a pre-requisite of somebody you want to date . . Then bro, tell her but in a polite way and maybe tutor her
Re: When Is The Right Time To Tell Her About Her English Problem? by oluvick(m): 4:33pm On Nov 13, 2014
Don't try to tutor her. This might hurt her ego.

Just buy books for her. Good books. Try and make sure she reads them. Give her some time, my dear. You will be shocked.

No jokes.

My guy, I have the same problem too though hers is not that bad. I'll correct her the next time she commits a grammatical blunder. Try and correct her. If you don't want to hurt her, try some techniques like getting her good novels both Local and foreign. You can also get her good foreign movies with english subtitles. It'll go a long way to helping her.

Get her a Dictionary, make her learn a word everyday and use it in a sentence!

Ozugbo ozugbo!

Any language especially English language wrongly spoken is dangerous to health.

Since you say she loves you, she will in good faith welcome the fact you wanna help her with her English language.

But, is she aware she's got that deficiency?

Am sorry my post is long.
Op do U think the people that said "all that glitters are not gold" dey smoke weed when they said it?
U qualified the babe even added jara, ehn come be like say na Angel on earth U dey describe. Anyways sha, we all have our flaws and it's obvious hers is English.

But on a serious note, it's like U ar not the humble, funny, and easy type. Believe me this isn't something as bad as U think, the babe is already into U fine, create time to always meet her where u've got no one listening to ur conversations, bring urself down to the language she understands while u keep correcting her simple errors.

Moreover, have u asked her about her educational background? Why not find out about her education, the level she is educationally and her plans concerning her educations. Learning English is not that difficult, if not Spanish, Asian, south American coaches won't be working in UK. Teaching they say is learning, encourage her and she'll love u the more.

Love they say is blind, it supersedes everything and I think if u've got love in ur plans for her u can overlook her English and help her improve.
Note; all these university ladies may not offer u what this babe has got for ya.

One love...
