Islamization of Nigeria was the agenda of OIC in Abuja declaration of 1989. I don't have the details as to how they plan to do it, but they have the blue print. But, has it not occurred to you that majority of towns captured in the north east have Christian majority (Gwoza, Chibok, Mubi etc). Among the first things boko haram does after capturing a community is to burn the churches and start forcing people to convert to Islam or be killed.
