Your family (dad/sis) should not be sponsoring you for a work/business related conference.

ok, itwas my first time ever, but i didi alot of thorough research and read up alot here and there from pple and NL which has eventually helpd to land the Visa (excuse my abbreviaitions, bbm has destroyed me)

My appointment was 7.30am, i got there an hour earlier. everything went well from the que, thru the checks to thumbprint and biometrics. my almost a month back to back fear suddenly left me when i started payin attn to the hall, like how you get rejected within a wink from the questions being asked, to how applicants answer and try to defend and convince the VO up to dressing.... my fear left bt i said to myslf, i am getting my visa, finally 072 was called, i catwalked to window 4 and thus was the convo:


VO: Hi goodmorng
Me: gudmorng and how are you today?
VO: am great and you?
Me: feels good to be here
Vo: so where in the Us are u going?
Me: Manhattan
Vo: and wot wud u b doing in manhattan?
Me: its my holiday so i am goin to have fun then i point to my finger, am engaged so this wud help me window shop on wedding dresses

so i have a second ish to discuss, its for a friiend of mine, coming up next

my friends name is rubicon007.

she has been rejected thrice, based on irregularities ranging from: known/unknown pple in the US and then other reasons best known to them, but the 3 refusals were referred to section 214(b)

Now rubicon wants to give it a try again, actually she has applied, filled and submitted the form, interview is stimes in dec BUT, she made a mistake in this submitted form, she has clicked no to knowing anyone in the US, where in her 3 previous applications she had clicked yes to knowing a family member, cousin and ofcourse her brother.

pls whats the best advice as she has to chnge that no to a yes befor her interveiw, all ur advice and suggestions are welcome like asap, thank you, i appreciate thesame support i was given here to be as well accorded to her.

Good evening great gurus in the house. Please is online US visa payment still working? Cos I was trying to help someone just now, but it kept bringing error message.

Please, for a masters' student going for conference in the USA, what are the things he is expected to fill in duties on the ds-160 form? And what are the necessary documents expected to take for the interview?

Get a new passport with her marital name. When filling the visa app form, use marital name. In the form, indicate she has been refused before. If required to input previous names, fill in the maiden name.

when she is going for interview, let her attach the passport with the maiden name to the new passport. That way she is regarded as same person (am guessing the picture on the data page, dob, sex would be the same). If asked for marital status in form, input married.

this will clear doubts she is married without you accompanying her. Except other issues exist, there won't be a problem. The 2 docs COs must see are Passport and visa app form. Let those docs show she is married.

i hate visa agents with a passion..have never used them in all of my visa applications...........apart from when i went to uae {u know how u pay for visa in nigeria and get the visa stamp in uae]

this is a faceless forum, so dont have any reason to hide anyhting.
so pls advice me.....bearing in mind all i hv explained.
you think we shud get a passport bearing her marital name...or stick with the old passport with her maiden name {with only uae + african countries visa}
