Besides, only nigeria provides economic data to World bank. Its another way to misinform the public. Unemployment is said to be 7.5% in Nigeria, thats a lie, if they can lie about their unemployment rate, so they will lie about their economy. Not many people trust anything that cones out of nigeria. 2 Likes |

G20 is supposed to have Nigeria as the only African nation in their midst due to the huge GDP but they decide to go with South Africa. Possibly, Thambo Mbeki lobbies to be a member based on China's invitation. However, G20 is not so much relevant to Nigeria like the developed nations. When you see South Africa with its meager GDP in such an economic block you would know something is wrong somewhere. Go Nigeria, the true GIANT of Africa. |

14:SA shopping is already saturated by Townships money. The money from the people living in the ghetto cannot make up for huge profit like Shoprites is making from Nigeria. Within a very short period of time it has succeeded in making more profit in Nigeria than South Africa in relative term. |

Re: Where Is Nigeria In The G-20 by ActivateKruger: 11:48pm On Nov 22, 2014 |
all4naija: Do you know what makes Shoprite Africa's largest retailer? Black South Africans from the townships. Where are your own retailers that make money in Nigeria? None, do you know why? you're not a big market. You might be many by figures but you're poor than South Africans in purchasing power. 1 Like |

ActivateKruger:Your country is serving your Russian master in G20 without having any voice to speak in any agenda. What is worst than that ? All in the name of being in an economic group. Please, Nigeria doesn't need developing nations to succeed. |

14:You should look at the turnover and profits of the 23 shops and compare them with the ones in South Africa. You would definitely know that Nigeria is the true GIANT. Not only that we consume the finest wines more than your people. |

ActivateKruger:Are you serious? Nigeria have more retail outlets better than Shoprites. In fact, if your overrated shops fold up we will bring in Wall Marts and other developed nations retailers. Nigeria is to big for petty Shoprites though. We aren't talking about Townships here but the richest nation in Africa. Can you beat that?! Jeez! |

ActivateKruger:Are you trying to say we can't deal squarely with your overrated and acclaimed Africa largest retailer,Shoprite? Please, you are not telling the truth about that retailer. It doesn't have up to 2000 shops in South Africa in the first place. I have visited the website and the outlets are not in thousands. Bwahaha... Nigeria has retailers, like Silverbird, etc which are large but might not be larger than some Shoprite stores. The size you are talking about came when they started entering the Nigerian market. Please, give the credit to Nigerians for saving it from being a local retailer in Townships to entering the largest economy in Africa. We are feeding you without you knowing it. You will thank me for that one day! |
