why not Hotspot your phone data to a PC, use a download manager like IDM, and you should be fine..

The technology world is a rapidly evolving one and new things are introduced every so often.... hardware, software, services etc. The only way your old device can keep up is if the The software engineer spend countless man hours to update the programs on your device so that your phone can continue to be relevant as the technology world becomes bigger, better and faster

Is it wrong to do upgrade directly from ur phone settings? I usually go to software update on my phone and upgrade my phone without connecting to any computer. I don't even do backup

its not wrong to update OTA (over the Air)....that's the easiest way to get official updates

Its not wrong. OTAs are usually safe with less hassle and non-destructive. You should be worried about backups when your are installing autoloaders.
