But how we go do?
If u come back Nigeria- No work, no light, no road, boko haram, kidnapping, assassination, politicians, corruption, tribalism, nepotism, religious war...
And the worst thing is that the black man in africa does not want to improve anything in his environment- infrastructure, roads, housing.
The black man does not think of his fellow black man.
Only selfishness and how to steal money to the detriment of others and your society.
Then they go and put the money in the white man's banks.

Hi guys, due to what's going on in our world at the moment, I think it's hightime we started loving each other. I had an encounter with racist people some weeks ago..

My flatmate (a Nigerian) and I went to the mall about some weeks ago to get our winter clothings and all, after we got all paid, we went to the bus-stand to wait for the bus - we got to the stand and met a Canadian man probably in his mid to late forties waiting for the bus too, I said "Hello, how you doing today? Nice weather, isn't it?" The man just bone face, he didn't even answer, my flatmate looked at me and we just acted like it didn't happen.

What he did next was something that irritated me. Immediately he packed his bags and went to the stand opposite us to meet a Canadian woman sitting down too, we didn't give 2 hoots until they started saying some things we couldn't hear, laughing uncontrollably and pointing fingers right at us. My mate got infuriated and wanted to confront them I calmed him down, that they were just ignorant. Few minutes later, the bus came they got on the bus, me and my mate intentionally sat next to them, lo and behold they stood up and went way back to the end of the bus. I was just shaking my head!

For real, racism has got to stop. You have different wardrobes of many colours, can't God have humans with different colours too?

Tho, I've met so many respectful, kind, nice people here. When I told my female bestfriend who is a Canadian too, she asked me to describe them, that she wants to kick their a'ss, I just told her not to worry. I really wish racism could end for good. We have to learn to live and tolerate each other, irrespective of race, religion etc..

I see no racism in all the stuff that you wrote and you and your friends are some of the reason why these things continue to perpetuate.

No one has an obligation to respond to you positively, who are you to require ALL total strangers to greet you? You don't know the challenges that the poor Guy has in his life, perhaps he was robbed by black folks before and he is now cautious of interacting with certain types.

And then you and your friends want to start fighting with him? For what?

I don't know about Canadian laws but you should be careful fighting in public. You are no longer in Oyingbo or Ebute Meta, be civilized and professional.

You were an instigator and doing black folks a disservice by your actions.

Dear Bros,

First of all, everybody don't have a duty to like you. If these persons don't wanna be your friend you don't have to force yourself upon them. You should not chase and shame people for not taking a fancy to you. It is just natural that people have different likes & dislikes without owing you an explanation for their preferences.

As long as such persons do not go out of their way to deny you of your rights then there should be no problem. It's a secular world with room enough to accommodate everybody, whether you like them or not.

But you by choosing to insist that a complete stranger acknowledges your presence and importance, you demonstrate the same intolerance that you purportedly trying to banish. Tolerance does not mean forcing everybody to think and behave in a particular way, in this case: To like a black people (you & your friend). It is perfectly within everybody'e right to like whoever they want to & dislike whoever they want to without fear of persecution, as long as they do not infringe on anybody's rights or freedoms. But what you are doing is pointing, shaming an persecution people because you perceive that they'd not acknowledged you because you are black. What exactly have they deprived you If they are not depriving you of anything that you are entitled to, then let them be. They'd done nothing wrong.

I agree with this post as well. They didn't do anything wrong. Like I said.

@Amefrica In all of this, you are the defaulter(s). Don't greet everybody you meet on your way or at the bus stop as the case may be. Your anger was unjustifiable, they had every right to run away from you. Not everybody is friendly or likes chit-chats with strangers. Next time, don't greet until you are greeted. Salutation is not love. And in my opinion, salutation is not by force. Wisdom profits much

from your posts , you are a racist yourself , you contradicting yourself too ...... you just sid if Nigeria invest enough money to develop the educational sector and country at large , the question is are they doing it , we blacks make up our government , had it been our president was a white man , it would have been a different case . our leaders are blacks who knows about racism , yet what do we get . stop generalizing about a white man being a racist ok . as long as the black leaders are incompetent and the majority of the blacks are not ready to take on responsibilites , then dont complain you have the white folks coming here to work. bros , speak foryourself ok ... how many of the technologies have you stolen , you dont have to tell me to start it as we have barely met, it starts with both of us . when i say hostile i mean good roads , good health care.... isnt it a sick mentality where Nigerians kidnap , this is part of the hostile environment and pls stop saying what you dont know . Iran has got the presence of international players in their energy sector. The problem of racism is not the white man , it is the black man . once he can make things right within him , he sure would have No problems.

You've got no clue about what racism means, and you very ignorant to call me a racist when all I am doing is speaking the truth and providing you with facts which can be checked and verified.
Nigeria is under the economic control of the world bank and IMF which ensure that we never invest in our education system, when Buhari was in office he refused to implement these destructive policies and the west promptly had him overthrown and replaced him with Babangida who began cutting spending on all public services , education included, so if you want to point fingers you better start pointing at the US and Europe who are the architects of our collapsed educational system in Nigeria.
You are a brainwashed follower, whenever Africa tries to put into office decent leaders they are immediately killed or overthrown by the CIA, only tyrants and corrupt scum are allowed to remain in office for decades. .

wAs Nkrumah incompetent? how about Gadaffi, Mandela, Sankara and Lumumba - better go and learn about your history and stop spouting ignorance on this thread.

People like you continue to bleat about good roads and healthcare but in the same breath sing the praises of people llike Ngozi Okonjo Iweala who is implementing all of the starvation economic policies that will ensure you never have any of those things, you have no clue about what racism is you joker.

Some white folks refused to return your greetings, and you n your friend wanted to fight them in their own country Be careful so u dont end in jail or get forced back to nigerian jungle. I have said my own. Am outta here.

I greeted him and asked him if he was volunteering. He nodded ad gave me a friendly smile.
Since I love volunteering, I offered to help clear the partways, after all, I am a regular user of same partway. That was how my run ended that day.

You have a very simplistic mindset which doesn't surprise me as a lot of Nigerians reason like you. Of course I have to bring in politics because politics is entertwined with history.

Just in case you haven't noticed, the Europeans and americans dominate the entire world because militarily they are stronger - now just in case you are still not getting the point - a nation that is militarily stronger than your own nation can overthrow or kill your leaders at will and that is exactly what happened with Buhari so its not about why Babangida allowed himself to be used, its about the fact that militarily the west are more powerful than us and can impose leaders on us whether we want them or not. Also in every society you will always have saboteurs and this is not unique to Nigeria but to countries all over the world. the united states has overthrown and killed progressive leaders in south America, the carribean and the arab world so your question should be: "why does the US and Europe go around the whole world intimidating and destroying progressive govts who have the interests of their people at heart" and not "why did babangida allow himself to be used"

people like you are so brainwashed that you cant bring yourself to ever question the white man because it is ingrained in you that the white man is your lord and master.

Again I see that you would rather blame mandela than blame the white man who clamped him in prison for 27 long years, yes mandela may have sold out by agreeing to allow the whites retain their hold over the land and resources of south Africa but you must remember that by 1990 mandela was already a broken man, he had suffered various psychological and physical breakdowns whilst in prison and it was for this very reason the white power structure chose him as their preferred peace broker as they knew they could get a better deal with him as he was no longer as militant and as radical as he had been when he was imprisoned in 1963, this does not however change the fact that Mandela put the needs of his nation before his own personal needs, therefore your statement about African leaders is not completely true because there are true freedom fighthers in Africa who would give up their lives for the freedom of their people, sadly these kind of leaders are never allowed to get into the corridors of power by Europe and the US.

Some worth similar right??

It pays to be Polite... Keep being polite.

There's nothing wrong with being polite, I think it's required from people from good homes.

I pose to you a question, if the VP had shunned you, would you and your friends wanted to fight with him? Or would you take the high road and display a level of intelligence?

Why do you keep reiterating "fight"? I just cleared it to you.

My son, be very careful; where you greeting everybody u came across while in nigeria Am sure u were not doing that; u just want to force your self on folks who dont give a shiit about u; better go there and do what your old folks sent u there to do. Some white folks refused to return your greetings, and you n your friend wanted to fight them in their own country Be careful so u dont end in jail or get forced back to nigerian jungle. I have said my own. Am outta here.
