Hello house. Please come to my rescue. I'm also a prospective student,and looking forward to fall. I'm going for masters in public health. I have got my test score result,322. Wes sent my evaluation and my my gpa is 2.89. I'm praying the schools I have in mind can still consider me,based on that gpa,cos I was anticipating scholarship or financial aids. I have good SOP,and letter of recommendation,but I'm not happy with my gpa. I do know admission into these schools is usually holistical,but I equally know that there are still schools that will be willing to grant financial aids,going by my test scores. Please assist me with schools.

I checked online a while back and its just as the earlier lady mentioned, you have to wait for a decision.You will not be able to resume until it's approved so inform your school in case they can assist but i will say a no-no to coming back to Naija to apply for an F1

You are right about one payment for one interview of which we are all aware of it here.

But you are wrong for saying you cancel for the first time and you got a warning because you can cancel twice. If you get that error it seems there is system error at that moment or they just implement this new policy today 3rd of December 2014.

If am not wrong because someone still cancelled yesterday for the second time and the third attempt he will get the notice of warning and if the person accept it he forfeit the visa fee..

Maybe someone or you already canceled before and you cant recall that, you can check your appointment history it will show it there or maybe there was system error when you wanted to cancel or its a new policy started today 3rd of December 2014 as i said above.

To my best knowledge you can cancel twice and if you accept the third attempt the person will loose the visa fee.

Please very smart people, you gotta help me out. I applied for an f1 student visa in Malaysia twice, the second time the VO kindly adviced me to come back home because I do not have enuf ties in Malaysia. So taking her advice I came home last year August and started an ICT firm. Now I went for an Interview on DEC 2 to study Management Information System whch relates to Diploma In Information Tech I previously studied in Malaysia. I was refused d visa and here was how it went..
Me: Good Morning Ma
VO: Morning
She keeps quite for a while..
VO: Why re u going to US?
Me: to complete my undergraduate studies
VO: Why did u choose Michigan Tech
Me: Michigan Tech has the most important tins I have always wanted in a University, a well structured curriculum, a friendly environment and a good classroom experience.
VO: have h been here before?
Me: No madam, I applied while I was in Malaysia
VO: who is sponsoring you?
Me: My father
VO: what does he do?
Me: (I explained his rank in the VIO) but I was nervous enuf dat I forgot to mention he is also a car merchant
VO: what did you study at ur undergrad
Me: I told her
VO: May I see ur transcript
Gave it to her, she checked nd returned it
VO: what did u do after college?
Me: (this was whr I think I got it wrong) I said I went to study in Malaysia, but I think she was asking after my college in Malaysia.
Then she was kindda playing with my passport for a while, the brought out d scary form and said, "Unfortunately you do not qualify for a visa at this moment, thank you"

Please ppl, I want to go again next week, what do you think I need to do diffetently?

Dear Family,
It is with great Joy that i write this letter or epistle to you all because i am in dire need of your advice. firstly a breakdown of my academic antecedent. Bsc. Physics Hons (Second Lower Division) University of Ado Ekiti. Msc Physics(solar physics) 4.04/5.0 grade (University of Lagos). i want to apply for PhD in medical physics in the united States, but what people have told me is that it literally not possible because i have not studied anything related to it( pre-requisites for medical physics). so i have been advised to apply for another Msc and that i will have to write GRE and toefl because i am in need grants and Scholarships.
here are my requests. courses
1. is it compulsory i write GRE to secure admission for financial aid.
2. is it valid that i will have to go for another MSC and not apply for PHD straight in my preferred course of study?
3. please kindly send me schools i can apply to with HIGH admission rate.(though am in search for some already)
4. what are the processes for grade conversion.?
5. if i have to write the GRE, can you please help with study materials? i intend to write it in January, because i was told admission decisions are made around that time for grants and scholarships.
6. can i still make admission for Fall 2015?

For the grammarians, kindly proof read my short note and point out detailed errors so as to make corrections. your constructive criticism will be appreciated.

I have learnt a lot from this forum !!!.SAVE A CONFUSED LADY

My interview comes up soon but have been having problems getting another Original SSCE 2009 certificate from WAEC office.
I had my original WASSCE result lost due to a fire incident in my apartment early this year & all effort to get a new one is taking endless processing.
I have a photocopy of the Original certificate with me for now, Can I take the photocopy with a scratch card to the embassy?
Should I take my ND certificate or my ND transcript to the embassy?

NB!!! I applied for an undergraduate programme .

[/color]Based on my experience on Tuesday, I don't think you need to worry yourself aboutur certificate if u cannot get it b4 ur interview, just take ur photocopy with u and explain d incident to d VO, he/she will reason with you, I wish you all the best as I wish myself in the days to come

well,,your waec certificate might be the only document the VO might ask because you are going for undergraduate. it takes less than a week for waec to process a new certificate. you should have gone to their office in yaba if you stay in lagos. although you need to pay a fee.since your interview is closer, have faith and go with back up documents

my 3.43/5 was bumped up to a 3.26/4 post evaluation. So urs should be higher assuming ur school's 5 point grading system is equivalent to mine.
