Sorry about the denial. I believe you didn't state your case thoroughly. I think your reason for choosing the school wasnt convincing enough. You fumbled when she asked where you work; Private hospitals have names. She started to probe you and you fell into her trap.

In her mind, you are a medical doctor that earns a salary per month yet you are not co-sponsoring your education, you have no grant, no assistantship or anything. from your age, she will know your sister might have a family of her own and you might be a burden on her as well. To send someone to med school is expensive in nigeria and more expensive in the USA.

To me It's not cogent enough. They denied you because of any or both reasons aforementioned. You need to sell yourself to them.

From my experience, that's what I think. I might be wrong sha

My sister is single. The vo never asked. N I have a statement of account of about 2.5 m. The vo never asked though it was on my i20. I concur it's possible I fumbled the reason for choosing the school.
Is it possible to reapply n request expedite appointment. Resumption is 12th jan

I will be very truthful with you. Just defer your admission to fall and take time to prepare yourself. Your interview date and resumption date is quite close.

Just an advice.

All you have to do is to defer till Fall 2015 since the resumption is 12th Jan 2015 and first available date is 13th/14th Jan 2015 and you can request for emergency request..

If you defer till fall 2015, you will have more time to prepare yourself and plan ahead and dont think its too fall because you go attend your interview by Middle or ending of May 2015

I appreciate the advice. Would like to know. If a new interview n expedite appointment would be possible. I feel I have a very strong case. Tnx.

you would not be granted expedite appointment. The rule states, if you've been denied visa in the last six months, you're not entitled to expedite/emergency appointment.

Everything is based on assumption. That your sister will sponsor you is an assumption. You have to talk about the right things to make the vo see you positively. When the Vo asked about your sponsor, you would have put it in that you would be co sponsing your education. That you have saved some money while working and you sister promised to sponsor you as well that's why she is major sponsor. Now the Vo assumes that if ur sister has issues, you can take care of yourself at least for 6 months to a year.

You can reapply, but the date might be a problem. You can ask the school for an extension letter or defer till fall 2015.

Bro Walspring, I'm very very sorry about the refusal.
But I so much concentrate where the VO asked: did U
applied to schools outside the US? U said: No. And the
Vo ask again how many in Nigeria? U ans: yes
yabatech. The no 1 thing I noticed was that ur answers
to both questions were inconsistent, because Nigeria
is still outside US, you should have answered no when
the vo asked 'how many in 9ja'. 2ndly, since U applied
to schools in 9ja, that signifies that u still have
interest in studying in 9ja, vo might suggest you
should go ahead with ur study in 9ja and leave US unis
alone.
But don't give up . Ure almost there. Just refire one more time, I'm sure you won't miss it. But it pains me, how professors fail exam!
