just leave the whatsapp on the initializing then goto www.whatsapp.com and download a new whatsapp and install it ..then open the installed one...u r good to go

if that doesn't work...then u need to change ur power ic
it probably blew while u we r charging

when I tried switching it back on it brought out select boot mode
volume up is to select nd volume down - OK

recovery.
fast boot
normal boot

with an arrow running through the options.
I tried to boot into recovery mode manually it didn't

yea..........iCloud requires the login details (email nd password) which was used to activate the phone.......1. you will have to get the password used with the email cos most apps will be locked on the accnt
2. if you cant get the email, you can create yr own iCloud accnt provided the iPhone has not been upgraded i.e she can still access the phone
3. you can remove the iCloud completely at a given cost

curve 2 uses os 5...cant lay my hands on such devices now but try
options>device>advance settings >tcp ip> ur access point should be web.mtnnigeria.net ....username and password would be web
