See bro, I amb a westerner. When baba OBJ was there people in my region will always say he has done nothing. It is always complaints unpon complaints, now when he is no longer there, they elevated him to "the best president nigeria as ever had". What a pity to have people who can not think deeply and widely. They have forgotten quickly how they have been getting maltreated by the "Born To Rule" people who give no dam about there wellfare but yet take there extract there resources withouth giving them any meaningfull benefits. They know they are parasites that is why they do not want Regional Govermental Sytem which will keep every region busy with serious work. Well my prayer is that may we never experience any reversal in the south (Ijaw, Ogoni, yoruba, Igbo, itsekiri etc.)again o. But the amen is with action. FKO81: 4 Likes |

theV0ice:that is because an igbo man has a forgiven heart, the igbo tribe are the only people who truly believed in the "one Nigeria " facade... that is why you see them in every part of the country! despite the undeniable fact that an igbo man has bad mouth, he will never see a Northerner as someone who should be converted or killed or see a southwesterner as some to back stab or betray. all he cares is his prosperity! igbos are too quick to forgive, even after the evil done to them during the war, they still live happily with everyone. |

IyfeNamikaze: Hehehehe, Nigerian history & GMB's antecedents do not support ur claims. In d last elections d General's running-mate was d activist & revered Christian leader, Pastor Tunde Bakare. He also overthrew d inept & rabidly corrupt govt of Shehu Shagari a fellow muslim. These ar d actions of a patriot not dat of a religious bigot. d General is a true patriot who during his short stint in charge of our country clamped down massively on corruption like no other regime. He rescued d economy frm total collapse in d worst economic recession in its history & paid a huge part of d external debt incurred by thieving politicians. He rejected d IMF loan & its slavish conditionalities. He refused to devalue d naira & thru economic ingenuity he kept d inflationary rate between 3-5% & d exchange rate at $1 to 1 naira. Elections should be a referendum on performance while in public office. To d informed d decision is clear & pretty much settled - GMB - tried tested & proven to be one of d greatest leaders in nigerian history. GEJ - tried tested & proven to be one of d weakest most corrupt leaders in nigerian history. PDP has had 15+ yrs wit little or no achievement. Let us be wise. 6 Likes |

docadams: he overthrew a democratically elected government he ordered the arrest of prominent citizens who were against his regime he imprisoned people without trial in the law court he seized people's goods for no reason under his watch as ptf chairman, a huge sum of money got missing he clamped down hard on any media house that published anti buhari articles, saying tht they lacked discipline and are senseless he openly insulted the whole country by calling us a set of indisciplined and senseless people. His police men harassed citizens with reckless abandon. even as a civilian, he obliged the north to only vote for a Muslim. he said he was fighting corruption, but he allowed a certain emir to break the law openly and he turned a blind eye to it 4 Likes |

martineverest:As a matter of fact. I think Yaradua was a good reasonable man and I would vote for if he was still alive. so its not about a person's ethnicity but his attitude and mindset. there are a lot of things involved in naija politics, a lot of tribalism chicanery and dissimulation. if you are not careful who you vote, you may get your people into some deep problems and economic strictures. so people are wary of who may ban the importation of the goods they trade on or who will shortchange them power supply or who will pay less attention to their region or who will sentence some people from a region to death for a crime and pardon people from another region at the request of some emirs. i'm not pointing at any particular person but stating the kinds if things people are wary about. and you can't blame them. its not like the hausas are so happy to see a person from the south east or south south rule. sometimes you just have to choose the leaser evil. and if you think the nations oil is not on the agenda of some of these people you are talking about, then you need to wake up. |

Marvin67: Toll or no toll, Lekki bridge was built by the people of Lagos Lekki bridge and toll road belongs to the people of Lagos Tolls collected by the people of Lagos state stays in Lagos state to fund similar projects in Lagos state to benefit the people of Lagos state.. On the other hand-- 2nd NB belongs to JB for 30 years Money collected from your men, women and children wont benefit your region because it goes straight to Germany And after the 30 years, the bridge still won't belong to any of your states, it goes back to the people of Nigeria.. Basically, your region just paid tolls for 30 years to build that bridge for the rest of Nigeria even though you fund that bridge with your money and sweat... You are not making any sense. Why are you giving the con man credit for what you are going to pay for? 2 Likes |

aresa: Mumu you seem to be carrying the 2nd Niger bridge toll matter alone on your head. The issue was only mentioned once but you have since picked on it and continued to repeat it like you were one of those that signed the contract. The same thing has been said of Lagos -Ibadan road several times but you turned a blind eye and a deaf ear to it. The small issue of tolls isn't what is going to stop us from having the 2nd Niger bridge built. We will wait till it is completed then see if we will pay the tolls or not. We will literally cross the bridge when we get there. Assuming, against all odds, the bridge actually gets tolled after completion (like the Lagos-Ibadan road), our people will still have the choice of using the other bridge which is toll free, private car owners will spend a lot less money on fuel as they wouldn't be experiencing traffic jam on the bridge anymore, the money paid for toll will be insignificant compared to the money and time they will save. Commercial vehicle users will spend less money on transport fares even with the tolls as the operators will have no choice but to reduce their fares when they start spending far less money on fuel and far less time on the road. It is a win-win situation for us, although the likelihood of us paying a toll for that bridge is as low as it gets. |
