When you go to the market to buy the food stuffs,ask of uziza seeds.its tiny and black. at least 20naira worth of it is ok to cook a pot of soup. Ofor is a thickner just like achi but I prefer you use ofor because its whiter. you must grind it together with pepper,crayfish,uziza seeds.
Without Ogiri,bitter leaf soup is tasteless. you must use it to cook the soup or else it wont give you the real taste.

I ended up messing up my deep fryer.

Use non sticky pan and lot of vegetable oil. Use paper towel to remove excess oil.

Try that with Hawaii rolls....a taste of life in the North

Did you blend with red bell pepper? It gives nice orangy color to your akara.

Haven't eaten bean cake in years.

:DThis one pass pimples ooo but at least the food no waste.
If you got the taste right then you might need to blend with more red bell pepper, just to give it more color really
Then don't make the paste too watery else it will spread out in the oil and won't come out compact.
Lastly, when you are dropping inside the oil, you have to drop firmly, dont let your hands stagger when you are dropping so it doesn't get these bumps.

i guess the problem was the staggering part of my hands. Why wont my hands stagger when im about dropping the Thing in hot oil.

Next time i will use a glove and big spoon.
