Please, I am trying to apply to do my Masters Degree in (Public Health/Epidemiology nd Disease control) Canada, nd the agency i am planning on using is telling me to do PGDE(post graduate diploma) for 8=12 months first (in Canada), dat it would be easier for me to get admission for masters degree which i will then spend lesser time like 8 months..my CGPA is above 3.0 which i believe is gud enough for Direct Masters degree, please wat do guys knw abt this......i need u prompt response...tanks a lot .....#teamNairaland#...

You need to get a super CGPA in ur last 2years of undergraduate studies and an overall very good (first class or 2.1). Otherwise, you can only secure a PGD admission. BTW, ur agent lied about the 8month for a Masters degree in public health.

These are the documents I submitted
*undergraduate transcript
*waec result
*nysc certificate
*notification of first degree result
*declaration of age
*police report
*my admission letter
*statement of account
it application took two months for me to get a reply from them.

Your documents are really few,
ASSET AND FINANCIAL STATUS
1. You submitted statement of account? Who was your sponsor?
2. What does, he or she do? How did u prove how he/she came about the money in the account ( employment letter where he works, that's if he works, or cac documents if he or she owns a business)
3. No letter of sponsorship or affidavit of support?

PURPOSE OF TRAVEL
1. What did you study in uni,
2. What level of studies are you going for l.e diploma, pdge,MSC or PhD ?
3.is your intended course related to your undergraduate studies or do u have work experience in it?
4. If not you should have written a statement of purpose stating why you intend to study the course and its benefit to Nigeria afterwards
LENGTH OF STAY
1. This too needs an Sop, where u stylishly emphasize that you will come back to develop your country
EMPLOYMENT
1. What do you currently? Got a job or nah
TRAVEL HISTORY isn't much of a biggie.

Pls do answer these questions, these are the little I can remember now.. People in the house will help you tackle when you answer.
Cheers

University of Manitoba is ranked 15th in Canada while University of Winnipeg is far at the bottom....

While both Universities are good, one is better..... U also pay a comparatively lower tuition.

As for canadian visa validity its usually about 2 years even if your program is 1 year, I didn't get your second question though.

For your first question visit their websit to get the price and accredited venues. I think http://www.ielts.org Plz confirm am not too sure.
2. It takes them max of 7 working days to complet the evaluation after they have done all verification on your documents.
