@Avantajj and MiCarino; PLEASE sheath your swords, if not for anything, for the sake of the season. Let's enjoy the peace and show goodwill to all men.

@Akinmail and Gmacnoms; feeling your banter grin You be complete novice tru tru (in warri man voice). Wait till Monday, not tomorrow, then open with Morgan or Meristem, with Morgan offering the cheaper charges of the two. Next day trades possible (buy today, sell tomorrow). Learn as fast as possible and be your own boss.

Thanks Chairman.

Let us try to improve the quality of this forum towards creating an enabling environment that guides us in making the right trade decisions and also tries to predict the direction of the market as a whole.

Further, the thought did occur to me at some point that members of this forum could be united in action; to sail our investments in the same direction such that we could impact any particular stock (small ones of course) and guide it's outcome.

However, this thought started to fade away when I started realizing the short level of some of the investors here (pls this is not criticism) i.e. a young starter with a goatee holding a N50,000 portfolio. This kind of investor would be inadequate for carrying out our goal.

Maybe if we had more expert investors here and more investors with N5m portfolios maybe 20 in number and they were united in that singular course of action then we could actually bet on sure things!

wink

Have u also forgotten that we are all competitors in this market even though we are friends on this faceless forum? That is why it is never a strategy to follow anyone

Oga, if you ask me, it is an unnecessary competition. NSE is competition enough. A couple of us in this house can come together to make a collective action.

Having an abundance mentality is key.

@Oga mi kotlass: Seems no one on NSEMPA has ever had a 'crush' on you. If so, you'll know it's not always easy sitting in front of your device and read some insults hurled at you from a faceless fellow. Faceless koo...facefull ni...perhaps it's only myjoy08 and prophet chibu that can stomach veiled criticisms. Kudos to Avantajj and MiCarino for a peaceful resolution.

@Charlesnerd: I've always thought you were a nerd fah. Which one be 'frontally packaged' again? You didn't respond to B2B Rich's query; now may I add that you show us a 'pishure' of what you exactly mean. NB I'm also a learner like B2BRich. grin

@bigass and mercylicious: You ladies shook and moved this thread this year. I salute your confidence, persistence and sense of humor.

@nitrogen, Elai 147, B2BRich, currentprice (grin ), omoajo1, lancee, Dexterax, FranklinRich, PW baba, presiade, SWG-1, jamace, madu nile....Well done for a good 2014...let's do it again next year.

@Joysmart and myjoy08: Greetings!

@Ukwuamu and Agbalowomeri baba: I hail thee both. Your sagacity and exertions regarding Afriprud and rational investing emains crystal clear...never mind the market slump.

@Moneysage; I feel you. Guys taking out there frustration on fellow bnsitl. Absolutely unnecessary and uncalled for. Battle for supremacy in everything from command of english, size of portfolio, years of experience in the stock market to veracity of predictions. Faceless or not, we have got to accommodate a whole lotta folks and stop unleashing verbal insults on our fellows. I see violent outburst and even veiled insults as a reflection of not only the personality of the fellows concerned but also of the state of affairs in their individual lives. The energy should be dissipated in prayer to God for His intervention. Cheers fellows. There shall be showers of blessings in 2015

@Oga mi kotlass: I 'see' that you're a pacifist and a prophet. grin Your 'seeing' of NSEMPA crushes as personality reflection is in order, but as a reflection of 'state of affairs' is taking prophecy to a higher dimension. grin

People can convert their gall to useful means, such as prayer for the nation. Yet, it shouldn't stop them from stopping the track of some folk who wants to score cheap points. We need not answer a fool according to his folly (as Proverbs 26:4 enjoins us), but we can address some of their crushes so that they when next they return to NSEMPA, they are more humble and watch before they post.

Can't remember the qualification date but if you have an e-mandate for dividend payment and you've not seen the payment from first registrar then you don't qualify

If not, just visit first registrar to find out if they have mailed a warrant to you

If you indicated that it was an individual account, then it could be a regulatory requirement. A sort of KYC, though I doubt this is the case. Clarify with the customer rep.
For me, it is not a biggie though. I don't have to visit my bank to produce that in a jiffy. grin
