Omarbah:

When Macy Sall speaks I undertsand it without trouble but when other Senegalese Fulbe speak it's hard for me to track it. Funny thing is they understand FJ fulfulde but we don't understand them. MACKY Sall speaks good fulfulde though with limited borrowed words.
I think all of those loaned words like karamoke and mallam for teacher contribute in enriching our language but we definitely need a standard one. Do you think Massinakore is the "purest" of all?

I think Maasinakooré is the purest because they can easily understand a Nigerian (me and Bororojo) and they can understand a Guineejo like you too. But watch the video:

I like that accent from Mali and Burkina

lol, why do I understand so much of what he is saying? lol ... ok maybe because he was not speaking fast ... just differences in a few words like iggey (Kuugal) .. wow his pulaar is 'sweet"
lol at that lady in the background shouting Ko goonga, Wallahi, a wowli goonga!
Lol they must have been proud seeing him speak fulfulde as most politicians in Senegal prefer Wolof.
I think you meant ligge which is the same as kuugal.

Interesting to see that Fulbe of Macina can understand all of us. I used to think it was the case for Senegal Fulbe.
I would like to see a fulfulde language association at the image of the Turkish language association. They picked the Istanbul Turkish as the standard.

Do you know that their is an entire state in Northern Kenya that was part of Somalia?

Somalis and Cushitic ares greater than Bantus. Western intervention in Somalia has caused the mess, but because we Somalis are muslim and strong we will not bend to a white man. unfortunately 20,000 Bantus are slaves and have been sent to Somalia because their blood is cheap. Just today their was an attack on their base.
A.Kenyans have beaten you.Twice.In Kenya during the Shifta Wars and in Somalia where they control Kismayu.
B.You call holler about Bantu slaves but fact is not a single Jareer in Somalia camw from Kenya. They came from Tanzania and Mozambique so the slavery notion can never be applied to Kenyans.
C.THERE IS NO PART OF KENYA THAT WAS EVER A PART OF SOMALIA!!
BEFORE COLONISATION THERE WAS NO SUCH THING AS A SOMALI STATE!!!
If Anything, there is a region of Somalia that was part of Kenya!!!Jubaland was part of the Kenya Colony until it was transferred to Italian Somaliland in 1925.
D.Do not delude yourself with Cushitic solidarity.Somalis themselves even in Kenya are divided along Clan lines. And in Garissa, along sub clan lines!!You think the Christian Boranas Burj and Gabbras or the Traditionalist Rendille want anything to do with Somali politics.
Oh,wait.Weren't Somalis booted out of Moyale in 2012 by both the Burj and Borana in both Kenyan and Ethiopian Moyale??Keep deluding yourself.

Kenya cannot even keep Nairobi safe, and has failed miserably with 20,000 bantus soldiers to pacify Mogadishu, this is a failure by any standard of any reasonable person.

I suggest going back into the jungle, and give up on this whole thing called civilization, before some arabs and somalis enslave you again.

You mean the Borana and Gabra who've been hunting each other down since the dawn of civilisation?

There are two sides of Moyale because the Ethiopian-Kenyan border runs through the middle of the town, Somalis (Garreh) may have been booted out of the Kenyan side, but Somalis are the majority in the Ethiopian one, which is why the Somali regional administration governs there. They were rightfully chased out because Moyale (both sides) was not Somali territory not so long ago. Give it 10 years and you'll see the brainless Gabra and Borana lose it to the crazy Somali Garreh.

Hey Fulaman,

I have a question dear sir. Why do you believe some Fulanis look very different than the Bantus they are surrounded by?

I think you mean to say why do we look different from what people refer to as the typical west African (which there is no such thing) because there only time Fulani people are near Bantu people is in Cameroon.

That is because we are a Sahelian people. You will find that some Tuaregs and Songhai people have a similar look as well. The women in the video above though are not Fulani just to let you know

You believe that your people are good looking, and I agree that those Fulanis who are not mixed with Bantus are, so does this mean Bantus are ugly? Deductive reasoning

But you make a thread about Fulani people being the most beautiful on Earth? You leave no room for Bantus with the title of this thread.

You certainly have fanned the flames of this thread, so much so that I thought you created it. I don't blame you, I too would distance my self from Bantus if I was fulani. Just make sure your women are trained in combat, the Bantu thirst has no limits.

Yes that's true and that's what these non-Fulani are displaying. Though we wear Turbans in Adamawa as well too.

With that said, I completely detest her pronunciation no offence to her, beautiful song and I know she means we'll, but she kind of butchered our language.

There are many songs from non-Fulani people, mainly Bantu groups that can speak Fulfulde in Cameroon. They actually speak Fulfulde very well. It's amazing how there is such a big contrast just going to the country next door.
