Emmanuel Awaritete Is An Online Fraudster | Please, Beware by BizBloke(m): 2:52pm On Jan 03, 2015
We would like to announce that this man: Emmanuel Awaritete has been confirmed to be a fraudster/goes about his actions with these names.

His method of operation is by email contact where he uses scarcity or time constraints to lead unsuspecting members of the Nairaland public towards paying their hard earned funds to him. His MO involves using a name from the business person's name and then, he adds A. Emmanuel where A. is for Awaritete.

For instance, on MikkyAngel's thread, he used Michael (MikkyAngel's name) A. Awaritete. On my company's, he used Specuit A. Emmanuel. A simple explanation for why he does this is because the bank will likely correct the name each and everytime someone writes any of his chosen names.

Please be warned, as he has other aliases on other social media sites. The following are a list of people he has duped/attempted to dupe:
1) Jimmy4x.
2) Techmart.

Or used their names to dupe others:
1) Michael (Mikky on Technology Market).
2) Specuit (Specuit Cargo on Technology Market).

If you've an idea to nail this guy, just type so. Don't bother using your funds if you feel it's much of an expense (gladly, I'll use mine so that we achieve something). If you can spare 5-10 minutes to make a report to the following banks, here are the Customer Care Details:

BizBloke:
[b]I've seen his name in some sections of Nairaland, where people complained bitterly of him claiming to be a company/an individual operating a business.

Few hours ago, he tried defrauding a client of mine: Techmart. Initially, I thought about neglecting the issue because my company has a simple instruction to get the account details but then, this isn't a personal problem. It's a collective one that we as business men/women should put hands together and resolve.

Yes, we're in competition for this guy's money or another guy's money but how about we create a saner climate for our competition? How about helping 1, 2, 3 Nigerians to keep their funds safe? Agreeably, not everyone will be saved because some will fall to words like, "I'll give you more discounts..." or whatever but our effort matters. Let's tackle this.

I'm on holiday but typically, I can't sleep well with this issue nagging @ my conscience. So far, I've called Zenith Direct and the Customer Care agent asked me what I suggest the bank should do. I told him. He said such instruction has to come from a Law Enforcement Agency such as the Police. I suggested EFCC and he responded that that's the best. Additionally, I'll call the rest banks (it's not restricted to Zenith Bank alone but an inter-bank and a Nigerian problem).

If you've an idea to nail this guy, just type so. Don't bother using your funds if you feel it's much of an expense (gladly, I'll use mine so that we achieve something). If you can spare 5-10 minutes to make a report to the following banks, here are the Customer Care Details:

this guy is a useless beast who reads all thread. If we post ideas here walahi he will just find a way round it.
I once tracked him but my sources told me he is in warri & he doesn't withdraw in the banking hall
moreover his account is always zero which means he withdraws immediately
What help can banks offer? They ask for people with proofs to pour in their complain to headquarters
This guy has a loophole which i biliv if anybody who can decipher my explanation above could guess to trap the thief

That legendary scammer will die a horrible death embarassed I can feel it.

Best to discuss how to catch him on whatsapp or bbm. That's, if he doesn't even join the group. The simple solution is for dangote's trailer to run over him or donate him for ebola experiment.

Efcc doesn't attend to small cases they might listen if we can mobilize everybody he has scammed with their proofs.

300k is enough to involve the Efcc na. He's not a ghost, he can be caught. The banks just have to cooperate sha. They can tell the atm point he used, provide home address and pictures.

you guys dont need the efcc. they wont be interested in such case at. There is a special units of the Nigerian police force that will firmly take up the case. The special fraud unit, under the force C.I.D. They would compell the banks to make available of all his necessary details and apprehend him in no time as long as you guys have your proofs. I have a personal connection high up at the force unit but I cant get involved since I am not a victim.

I just hope he isn't diabolical , let's create a group on whatsapp nd discuss about him there.

What bank did he use in achieving this?

Do you have an idea if ICPC has an active and functional online profile?

Awaritete is an online thief that rips unsuspecting members of the Nairaland public off their funds. So far, from what I've gathered, GTBank and Zenith Bank are banks he has accounts with.

The idea is to contact Customer Care and lodge a complaint that he's a fraudster moving around, seeking whom to rip off, then provide the account details (I have the Zenith Bank details). Since everytime the Customer Care unit of each bank is contacted, a different representative handles the issue, multiple red flags will be raised on his various accounts.

When we can successfully reach ICPC and/or the CID unit of the Nigerian Police Force, action will be fast tracked.

Cheers.

Why not post details of how he runs his scams, so we can all read? Even if he changes his NL name, his tactics will trigger some alarms with people who have read this thread. HTH.

His account number remains same as witnessed in today's case and the case of 31st December in which Jimmy4x was involved.

So far, this is all I've been able to get.

numerous tactics. For instance, he got contacts from mikkyangel's thread, mikkyangel's real name is Michael. The fraudster sent his account details as Micheal emmanuel awaritefe. You'd think it's actually mikkyangel's account. As long as two names are correct as well as account number, banks will accept payment. (its a loophole he's exploiting).

Another tactic. There's lagtech, another shipper in business section. The thief created another account "lagtech1(notice he added one to confuse his victims)

He also started a fake importation thread, stole pictures from genuine threads, created multiple accounts to talk to himself, pay himself, buy for himself and still ship for himself and nairalanders fell for it.

What he does is to roam like the vagabond he is, looking for contacts to steal from threads, impersonates the op and then strikes. So it's not wise to drop contacts anyhow if you can't identify scam.

Where I blame his victims, the guys he impersonates give very strong warnings that they will never mail you first, they display their account numbers on their first page, will only quote you if you quote them but people will never listen, it's easier for them to locate, quote and complain to the genuine guys after they've been scammed(na jazz Why couldn't they do that before payment)

I personally think he's a gtb staff coz there's been a lot of complains about that thief, yet they can't even invite him for questioning. Na dem dem jare

Walahi, this thread is coming in a good time. Those who have what it takes should please not back down. It's time to put efforts together and nail this one crook, once and for all.

Strange to know he is still there doing his thing.

I am aware quite a lot of people here have what it takes to nab, only if they can devote the effort.

Let all those who have been affected put organise themselves and put forward/together details of such so the efforts can have a good result. Issues like this will need documented/verifiable proof/evidence.

Bizbloke, kudos to you for bringing this to the forefront again.
You may need to please edit the topic to reflect more clearly what the issue is.
