1- Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala—The first woman Finance Minister of Nigeria, the world’s seventh largest country, Okonjo-Iweala has courageously taken on the nation’s endemic corruption, helping to refurbish Nigeria’s image and economic prospects. 2- Pietro Parolin—Pope Francis’s right-hand man, Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Parolin has been critical to many of the most significant initiatives which have begun to change in fundamental ways one of the world’s oldest (and most change-resistant) institutions. 3- Arati Prabhakar—The Indian-born engineer has used her platform as director of the U.S. Department of Defense’s DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) to speak out on the need to be vigilant about technology’s double edge, taking seriously the agency’s founding mission to create and invest in breakthrough technologies that protect U.S. national security. 4- HRH Prince Feisal Al Hussein—The brother of Jordan’s King, Prince Feisal has been a dogged and indefatigable advocate of peace building and development in this troubled region, especially through sport, as the founder of the non-governmental organization Generations for Peace. 5- Felipe Calderon—Former president of Mexico committed to the rule of law, he has turned his energies and influence to addressing climate change issues by assuming the chairmanship of the Global Commission on the Economy and Climate http://www.forbes.com/sites/paullaudicina/2014/12/29/what-the-front-pages-missed-5-unsung-leaders-of-2014/2/ 1 Like |

Contrary to APC's propagada machine, this govt is tackling corruption headlong by strenghtening our institutions and making access to money difficult. Examples are in: Civil Service reforms (ghost workers) Fertilizer distribution Elections reforms Police reforms Tranparency International also noted improvements in this regard. 4 Likes 1 Share |

I've always believed in this woman from day 1. So proud of her. A prophet is not honored at home. When the APC propaganda shouts corruption, i quickly remind them that some years ago transparency international ranked Nigeria 1st and 2nd most corrupt country in the world under obasanjo. Now we are ranked 33rd in 2014... It's not rocket science, something and someone is responsible for it. But typical of haters, they hate what they can't understand. You don't keep hanging thieves all the time. There is a systematic way of fighting corruption which Jonathan is doing, it takes a painstaking process but the end point is worth it. I just wish they pass the PIB into law and see corruption in the oil industry brought to it's knees. OPEC recognises us.. Leading world economic bodies acknowledged the giant strides of this administration. Touted as the next spring of economic giants (MINT).., Infrastructural developments everywhere, devolution of power and successful privatisation of hitherto stagnant agencies, revival of the railways, agricultural reforms, school emerging everywhere and almajiris schools to educate the northern children on the right path (something the ex-leaders could not do)...Nigeria is on the rise. Only a blind man wouldn't know that. Although slow but steady Jonathan surrounded by the best economic hands of Okonjo and aganga is fixing the rot of the past governments despite teeming challenges and unusual verbal attacks. Ride on Jonathan. Anybody wen say ur water nor go boil, their own nor go hot. 8 Likes 2 Shares |
