That Spirit that has been ruling over Nigeria, seeing that its end is near has been struggling, yeah struggling, not to concede defeat. God is NOW fully ready to take over, to crush it finally. That same spirit, in an attempt to avoid/delay defeat, is now using all available arsenal/weaponll (deceit, lie, killings, fear, impatience, frustration, etc) indiscriminately. God named that spirit "ANTICHRIST". It is everywhere even in the CHURCH!!! God says He will crush it. I am aware of this fact and I have peace. GOD IS IN CONTROL. Don't Argue. Find Out yourself. |

Let's do it one after the other please. And please note that the onus lies on you to proof these allegations so don't tell me to Google anything, thats a weak way out. |

Onaiyekan distanced the Catholic Church from Mbaka’s statement, stating that, “Mbaka will take responsibilities for his own actions. I do not believe in my mind that the way things are in Nigeria, any Catholic priest has the mandate to decide which of the political contestants should be voted for. What most of us will do is to tell people to vote according to their conscience and then, we tell the authorities to allow people to vote freely and fairly. I agree with the highlighted but Nigeria is a place that even if a sitting president of ANY party "mistakenly" allows people to vote according to their conscience freely and fairly, election results will most likely be tampered with WITH IMPUNITY and nothing will happen as the FG has the might of the foolish rank and file police and army to shoot to kill any dissenting "commoner". Fayose 9 days ago advocated using the Police and Army to win the Presidential Elections and he also stated that these elections are do or die and has told the SW PDP meeting blatantly to ignore the Governorship elections and focus squarely on winning the Presidential polls at all cost including using bribery of the Oba's and using students, the army and police to ensure Jonathan wins and once this happens they can then announce any result they want in the governorship elections. Mimiko agreed with him that the Oba's are hungry anyway and open to being bribed and Fayose further added that PDP can not afford to lose the Presidential elections and by implication lose power over the Army and Police which in Fayose's eyes are the perks and Power of PDP holding on to the Presidency. http://saharareporters.com/2015/01/02/governor-fayose-explodes-presidential-contest-do-or-die-affair-advocates-use-policearmy Factor in Bakare's submission on 4/1/15 that 50 to 70% of some rural voters will not vote as they have no PVC and in some cases their PVC's have been hijacked. Also, add the mysterious reduction (millions reduced) in the no of eligible voters in Lagos and you'll see that the stage is set for the mother of all manipulation of election results. The elections may "seem" free and fair but I doubt if the 1 Like 2 Shares |

More troubles appear to be staring the controversial Catholic Priest and Founder of Adoration Ministry, Enugu Catholic Archdiocese, Rev. Fr Ejike Mbaka, in the face following his statement urging Nigerians to reject President Goodluck Jonathan of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and vote for Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (rtd ) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the February 14 presidential election. Speaking to THISDAY in an exclusive interview, the Catholic Bishop of Abuja Metropolitan See, Cardinal John Onaiyekan, said given the rules of the church, Fr. Mbaka ought to be sanctioned. This came as Onaiyekan cautioned the PDP and opposition, All Progressives Congress (APC) to desist from campaigns of calumny. He stated that prophecies of doom ahead of 2015 elections notwithstanding, “PDP and APC have no right to disorganise Nigeria.” Onaiyekan, commenting on Fr Mbaka, said the priest went overboard in his statement insinuating that President Jonathan’s administration has been plagued with ‘bad luck’ and poor performance. “I wouldn’t be surprised if most people are not happy with the statement he made. From my reactions, you should see that I do not agree with him. I don’t believe a priest should be doing that. “But, like I said, Mbaka is a priest of his own type. If he was in my archdioceses, I will have sanctioned him long ago for the kind of things and utterances that he makes. But, he is not under my diocese; he has a Bishop to handle that if there is any need,” the Cardinal observed. Onaiyekan, rather maintained that Mbaka had earlier made insinuations that President Jonathan’s wife, Mrs. Patience Jonathan, will continue in office. “I hope that people are not thinking that we are sending Mbaka to talk rubbish, how can they think that? If you want to hear anything even not official but at least, authoritative, then, you listen to the bishops. Rather than him and I don’t see any bishop talking that way.” Meanwhile, President of the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria (CBCN), Archbishop Ignatius Kaigama, said Nigerians should avoid hasty generalisation, as the statement of one Catholic priest cannot be taken to represent the voices of more than 30 million Catholics in Nigeria. Kaigama told THISDAY that though Mbaka could not have been speaking for the Nigerian Catholic Church, Nigerians should avoid making unguided statements and hasty generalisation on national issues like the 2015 general election. “There are more than 30 million Catholics in Nigeria, Fr Mbaka is just one Catholic, if he makes a statement, it cannot be the voices of more than 30 million Nigerian Catholics speaking. “Mbaka is just expressing his opinion, if we want to make a political statement, we know how to do it. That we keep quiet and we are marginalised, does not mean we don’t have strength. With more than 30 million Catholics, we have the strength,” Kaigama submitted. 30millions Catholics... Only in. Nigeria... Big Lie Iro nla How many Members did RCCG, Living Faith, Chosen, Christ Embassy, Ecwa, Cocin, Baptist churches, CAC, C & S, Apostolic, Anglican, Celestial church of christ, ETC. Have' in Last Census, Nigeria was Over 160millions, if only Catholic gather 30millions members, den de rest totally will get up 100millions b dat + 30millions Catholics, which means Christians are abwt 130millions out of 160 in Nigeria... Lol Sir' Try again We are not kids |

customized13: Where in his speech did he claim he was speaking for all Catholic?! He said "God through the Holy Spirit told him to tell His people this and that" or are you saying Mbaka is lying and that he is no more a man of God? Or because the message he was given should not be delivered because it's against the president? John the Baptist and co did the same thing. He spoke for Jonathan earlier most of u didn't shout and now that he has another message u guys are complaining! Why is he being condemned for boldly doing what most of us are too afraid to attempt? His JOB FUNCTIONS AS A PASTOR IS TO TELL PEOPLE THE MIND OF GOD and that is what he did. He said "God said ………" . He didn't claim the message as his own. Men of God condemning him should first tell us that Mbaka is not a man of God then we will understand their complaints. |

customized13: The man's arguments are probably similar to the one used by the papacy to salve its conscience when Hitler began his purges and persecution. We do not deny we're in a state of war, the govt concedes that much. Hundreds are kidnapped, raped, plundered and killed daily in the north and elsewhere and the current govt appears unwilling or incapable (maybe both) to do something. Doesnt the church owe a duty to humanity to seek for change from this earthly turmoil? This is even rank hypocrisy . Pastor adeboye just declared war on "islamists" and the north as far as 2015 elections are concerned. But then, the church of today is not the church of christ. Its the church of money and power. |

HzRF:Nice Try. I read through both links, no where did he say boko haram members should not be prosecuted? Or is here? He merely asked for the same treated given to the Asari Dokubo ( GEJ's best friend ) and his miscreants to be given to the miscreants in he north. Is that a wrong call. |

gerald09: I am not the type that uses questions to answer another but I am sorry, let me ask you these questions : 1. Are there more killings in GEJ era than any other era? 2. Is corruption been rewarded or not? 3. Has our currency become a junk or not under GEJ? 4. Did the first 5 years of GEJ administration enjoy oil boom in the world market or not? Answer me these questions. Let's educate each other. I am giving myself an off day as I am my own boss so I have time for nairaland today. Oya let's roll. |
