Except when injured, Jones virtually always started for SAF, Moyes, Gaal and Hodgson. During the holiday, I reviewed how Smalling and Jones came back from injuries in 2012/13 under SAF. Jones was always sent back into the starting team on return from injuries. I think the coaches have a high opinion of him. Whether he is deteriorating, that I don't know because in my eyes he is doing well for his age. I believe he needs games to get to that level SAF expected of him.

LVG doesn't look like he wants to chill. i think bids have been made for hummels, gundogan and varane. LVG didn't say so but some sources are claiming the story is true.

if its bringing the points, no wahala. but I think with time fans will start demanding fluid football if this 3-5-2 doesn't deliver it with the results.

Maybe when we have a defense that LvG trusts the formation might change, ie when Jones, Smalling + Rojo partnership (2 of them) partnership becomes rock solid. The defense is still weak buh its growing.

Problem with the formation is that it puts so much burden on the defence; reason why our defenders have appeared more shyte than they really are when compared to others in epl. You find they look more comfortable whenever we switch to 4.
