I will allow for the possibility that some people are unfamiliar with the differences in educational terms between the US and Nigeria. Because some of these responses are making it clear that there is confusion.

In the United States:

PRIMARY
Preschool
Elementary school (Grades K through 5 or 6)
Middle school (Grades 6 through 8 )
or
Junior high school (Grades 7 through 8 )

SECONDARY
High school (Grades 9 through 12)

TERTIARY
Technical or trade school (certificate, standardization varies)

Why am I explaining this? Because in Nigeria, I understand that "college" is a term for a secondary school. In the US, every tertiary institution is a "college". A "university" is a collection of colleges.

According to this letter (which includes a contact name, phone number, and address--not the usual "unnamed source", thanks Sahara for demonstrating professional journalism), Buhari received a degree from one of the only three military institutions of the United States, along with such prestigious men as our former president, Ulysses S. Grant.

Buhari can quickly register on partime and take his WASC olevel exams, he has till 2019 to present his valid certificate. meanwhile, let him step down NOW!.
This is 2015 the era school certificates are documents or seal certifying the authenticity of education , we are not in 1986.
This is the reason Tinubu got disappointed with buhari since the certificate saga, and has not been on air recently.

Up till today, you can do certain higher programs without SSCE provided you have enough work experience that can offset your lack of school cert. And when you obtain the qualification, your new achievement is not diminished by absence of the SSCE certificate.
