I guess he believes the phrase that, "all men are cheats".
How can he say a "faithful husband that has been denied sex for long periods of time is more likely to cheat than if he has sex regularly.

Using "more likely", it means faithful husband do cheat also. grin
Sorry to burst his bubble, a faithful husband frowns at cheating... He only admires wink

Everyone is entitled to his or her opinion based on belief or experience.

For me, based on experience, a cheat has always been a cheat, cos it is often seen as the only way of escape from a "bad" situation.

But since nothing is absolute, there's a possibility that a cheat may not remain a cheat, howbeit negligible.

Poster wants to cheat let him cheat, its our mentality for settling for less that has gotten us to this level.

Cheating is not a mistake, see how he is justifying and glorifying cheating." the se-x was good ". I always say it if spouses didn't put up with cheats then cheaters will stop but because you make yourself so helpless and put forward all sorts of idiotic theories cheaters will keep treating you like trash.

Adultery is rated same as homosexuality we all hate and condemn and the punishment is the same. Same way gay rights have been criminalised an over zealous religious can also come and use the same major to criminalise adultery.

If a man commits adultery with another man’s wife—with the wife of his neighbor—both the adulterer and the adulteress are to be put to death.

Anyway each to their own, anybody who quotes me hoping for back and forth is on their own.

Op is not supporting cheating pls. Don't get overly emotional about this.

Cheating is wrong in all ramifications, there is no arguing that. The discussion is based on the premise that cheating is 'inborn' or 'genetic' because if someone cheats on you then he was always going to cheat, its his/her nature, there is nothing you could have done about it , nothing else contributed to it etc the person just cheated and will continue to cheat for ever and ever.

I am saying this is wrong and illogical. Anybody can make a mistake. You cannot condemn a person to be a chest forever because he strayed once.

No, adultery and homosexuality are not the same as per your bible reference. True, adultery was punishable by death as were other crimes but homosexuality was grouped along with bestiality and it was clearly stated "it is an abomination", "the lord hates this".

So even though it was a sin, extra emphasis was placed on the act of homosexuality. Don't associate cheating with homosexuality cos you want to kill and bury it.

And meanwhile the same bible you quoted also talks a lot on forgiveness. I think its written all over in a place called the new testament.

Haaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!

So he can 'only admire ' right? Isn't that already cheating? Where does the 'admiring' stop? He starts with 'she's pretty", then she's prettier, has bigger boobs, better curves, bigger ass, (all this is still admiring oh), then maybe he starts imagining now that he is having sex with her but not physically doing it(still admiring oh) until he finally approaches her to be just friends nothing bad in his mind(still admiring oh) then...
You see where am going with this? So he already cheated on her by admiring someone else.
And according to you guys he will he a cheat forever and ever !

Looooool.
Be realistic please.

Cheating is not a mistake. How does that happen.

Dropping dinner plates while washing is a mistake

Me hitting your window with a ball while playing with my friends is a mistake.

Sleep walking and breaking my lamp is a mistake

My hand brushing a girl's boobs as she passes by in a narrow space can be an excuse

Walking to the kitchen to steal a piece of meat from the pot is not a mistake

Phocking another person while your wife is at home is not a mistake. It is a calculated and premeditated event.

Stop this abeg. Cheating can never ever be a mistake. You do not have sex and call it a mistake

Bible talked about forgiveness but "Adultery" is heinous sin to the extent that bible made it the only reason a man/woman should/could divorce his/her spouse.

Matthew19:9
And I say to you, whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery; and whoever marries her who is divorced commits adultery."

Yes.
I will go a step further to say I wouldn't just do it but have done it before.

The issue is in the word philandering. This tense indicates a continuing habit. If the wife philandered only once it is not enough to doom the relationship, nobody is perfect. But if it continues without any sign of stopping then there is a problem. It is a problem when it is a continuing habit.

Once twice or three times. I will not be a lab rat to prove that the cheat will change.

If you cheat, change and be a better person to your NEXT partner. Consider it my donation to you becoming a better human being

That's why there's something called "SELF CONTROL". Hormornal secretion(Testestorone & Oestrogen) is a natural phenomenon except if one, is an asexual.
We are all tempted to steal but control it from manifesting. Haven't you been tempted? Yes or No....

Going by your assumption, no guy would still remain a virgin after puberty because we all admire. You don't have a point, I must-say.

Admiring isn't bad but putting it into practise. I've many important things to discuss with ladies than fantasizing how to get them laid. Smh

Getting her laid is a systematic process which has been finely planned, not a stùpid mistake. Mistakes take place without a slight thought of it.

While the act of cheating itself may not be a mistake, the feeling of regret as in sadness, repentance, or disappointment that overcomes a cheater is what classifies the act as a mistake in his/her mind - like I said, path of least resistance

What is it with the "if your daughter/son...blah"?

If 'my' daughter cheats, she's a damn cheat. Exactly what difference is there between what 'she' did, and what 'you' did? In fact, it's worse. It's not like I raised 'you'.
you actually wrote almost nothing,
except for this line " if ' my ' daughter cheats, she's a damn cheat"
I think you need understanding
she was wrong to compare muder to cheat
and change is constant....
I pray you understand this summary

Change is hardly constant.

I think you need understanding. I never agreed with that comparison, but then again that wasn't what I addressed now was it? It appears you forgot to include yourself in your prayer.

Would a sinner always be a sinner?

If Yes then whats the point of seeking forgiveness and whats the point of God forgiving us.

Maybe God should have killed everyone who commits one sin without giving him another chance

Look I can marry a prostitute if that is what she use to do and now she has changed.

If after we are together you cheat it is different.

I believe people can change...yes I do but am I willing to be a lab rat to test that believe with someone who cheated on me? No.

If you will change, show it to your next partner
