gottfried21: This is a Portuguese F-16 with an Angolan flag photo-shopped on it. Angola doesn't operate F-16's. In Africa only the North-Africans do. Angola operates 12 ex-indian SU-30 fighter jets. They were refurbished by Russia in belarus and transferred to Angola. |

MikeCZAR: You know, I don't think they have. They still use them to tow some of their artillery pieces. However, If they actually have, i'd make a firm guess, most likely in 2010. |

Henry120: I see special service group on the cap of the guy in the second to last pic. Is the army taking after the Pakistani SSG? I don't understand that pic cos it seems to be taken in Nigeria. |

Henry120:I concur with this, same way not many operators Can hit a target accurately at 100m. There are a lot of variables. No need for too much heat, pop into any range with your box of 7.62 and ask for an SCAR H with telescopic optics "x2" and see the magic of a SCAR. AKs are legendary no doubt SCARs are revolutionary. N/B: I have extensively played with a SCAR.(it was just the S17, makes me wonder what the Mk17 would do) 4 Likes 1 Share |

StandUpGuy247: It's simply because that Operator trained in Pakistan with the SSG, just like many other Nigerian military personnel, as is tradition. The photo was taken in Nigeria, and the SSG cap is only a souvenir. |

M14A1: Unfortunately Guns are illegal in our Country. We agree on quite a number of things, however based on personal preference, i'll go for my up-graded AK-47 over the SCAR-L/H. I agree the FN SCAR is better than the AK-47 (upgraded), however this comparison is based entirely on preference. |

M14A1:Scar H MK17 have a lot of recoil and I personally don't like the Scar cuz of its look but on the other hand I think AK-12 or AS VAL should be used by one of our SF since Nigeria like Russian made riffles |
Re: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by M14A1: 11:17am On Jan 18, 2015 |
NighttWalker:Ak fires 7.62x39mm rounds SCAr H fires 7.62x51mm rounds You don't expect a gun that fires a ".308" to have the recoil of a pdw Yet the recoil of the SCAR H cannot be compared to that of an AK. Sentiments aside profess your love for the AKs and stop peddling half truth about the recoil of the SCAR H. |
