Today at church the pastor said we should raise our hands 4 blessing, n i raised my left hand coz i waz holding my bible with my ryt hand, then dis 'i-too-know' woman seating near me told me to raise my ryt hand, dat im disrespecting God n the pastor see me see wahala o

Archaic mentality. Africans are always wasting their thoughts on trivialities. We need to do away with such traditions. No wonder the continent is underdeveloped.

I beg your pardon ? Do you realize that even the developed countries you admire have a cultural history, wht it means is that we've not been westernized completely.

What it means is we're wasting our brain power on stupid traditions and superstitions when there are more important things to brainstorm about. For instance, when the effects of climate change driven by pollution hit Africa, you'll know you should have spent more time thinking about the future. And most of the pollution doesn't even come from Africa...but still, the consequences on the continent will be dire. So if stupid superstitions/traditions are your priority, you might as well prepare for extinction. Along with your silly traditions and whatnot. Don't let me get started on another issue threatening your very existence: terrorism. Yet you're talking about some left-hand right-hand hullabaloo. Lol

Our nigerian culture needs a review... So dat some archaic ones like givn nd receivn wit d left hand sign of disrespect rubbish should be abolished.
