thanks the info.... it seems you've got a lot planned for the 23rd, hope they don't see you as some showoff or something.
BTW, who is your favorite avenger?

@bolded, glad I could make you laughgrin
It's a tie between Black Widow & Captain America. Black Widow has no powers and she's just a BAMF, look at the interrogation scene in Avengers, where she let the Russians (mob maybe?) capture her, while she reversed interrogated them, then she finishes them in mere seconds after Coulson tells her she's assigned to something else. It's a shame they cancelled her solo film, it would been a pleasure to watch.

Captain America is just the likeable Boy Scout, who would never mock the little guy, since he was the little guy. The guy was scrawny and sickly, but he still tried to sign up for the Army everytime he could, even though he was technically committing fraud. He still tried to fight for justice, even though his face was not made to take a punch, he'd get back up and still take the beating until he couldn't. When he got upgraded, he was still that guy, but finally had the muscle to back it up. The scene with the grenade in the first Captain America film, where all the big tough guys ran away and this scrawny kid just wraps himself around it and tells everyone to stay back, that scene sums him up perfectly.

Thanks, there was no way it would be Tony Stark - we would have knocked him out cold in the first minute, 'cause he would have pissed us off. Not Thor, oh boy is nice to stare at, but there are times you just want to watch him fight, then slap him for breaking your fave mug 'cause he wanted another cup of coffee. We never really got to see Hawkeye as himself, yes Mr. Bow & Arrow kicked butt with those arrows, but he was a blue eyed zombie for about 70% of the film and he only had a cameo in Thor. Hulk has been played by three different guys in three different films & Mr. Banner is still kinda meh - I understand his struggle, but if I see another mediocre Hulk without the actual Hulk smashing s*** up I would beat him with more gamma radiation. Plus, I don't want to die 'cause I took the last meat from the pot.

Let's see if MCU's Quick Silver matches Sony's Quick Silver, at least we get his twin sister Scarlet Witch as well, of course daddy Magneto & mutants don't exist, Sony owns all the film rights to the X-Men universe.
Maybe it's good that Marvel don't own the film rights to Fantastic Four, Spider-man & X-Men, explaining to folks that they've all had team ups at one point or another, might actually kill non-readers with confusion. I was about to explain it, before I gave up.

Okay, I'm off to watch Kingsmen: The Secret Service.

I would recommend the hell out of Kingsman: The Secret Service. Samuel L. Jackson played a lisping Russell Simmons, no one can tell me otherwise. It's based on a Millarworld* comic, so it will be filled with funny parts and violence, you'll definitely see Colin Firth in a new light, think how Taken turned Liam Neeson into an action star.

*that's Mark Millar to those who don't know, the guy who created Kick-Ass, Wanted, The Secret Service comics that the films are loosely based on. Seriously, Wanted deviated a lot from the comics, Kick Ass film is seriously less violent - I'm not kidding - and the true storyline is hella sad when you find out. Usually, you're better off watching the films first then reading the comics for the proper WTF moment you'll have.

I just pay way too much attention, okay maybe I paid way too much attention to X-Men and Spidey back in the day. Maybe I've talked a bit too much about the actual X-Men First Class (Beast, Ice Man, Marvel Girl (Jean Gray's original codename that no one seemed to care about), Cyclops & Angel. The fact that Sony have messed up the Summers family children, the fact that Angel Salvatore appeared from 2000 and something. The fact that Sony messed up Emma Frost and brought out her diamond form mutation that occurred during the....sorry I zoned out for a second...And that's only from Earth-616, I didn't even touch the other AUs. Or the reboots they're doing. Omo I quietly took my butt outta that equation, I stick to limited/completed series independents now. Trying to follow mainstream DC & Marvel comics could kill person-o.

WATCHING BIG HERO SIX...

comment:
well as epic as the movie was, I still think Disney did shit in 2014, all animation done in 2014 didn't meet up the Disney/Pixar movie. Planes(fire & rescue) was trash, apart from the fact the it was dedicated to fire fighters all over the world, the storyline was wack, infact the entire "planes" franchise sucks, they should just stick with "cars".
I know everyone believes "BH6" was epic, I do too bt I also think Disney ripped it from one of my all time favorite movie "Astro boy"... I mean the "bots fights", the settings was based in "Japan", the sacrifice at the end, everything jux had a part of astro boy to it.

I'm not accusing Disney of anything, I juz think they messed up big time in 2014, while DreamWorks nailed it. well I hope Disney do better this year

you're certainly have a hell of a vendetta to settle with SONY, although I think they've done quite a pretty good job with the xmen franchise. I don't do comics bt the latest installment to the movie sequel was epic. Not to mention that we've got the entire first class members back, and would probably see them in action in the next movie.

How come Sony owns Spidey, xmen, F4 and some other epic marvel comics?

You watched Planes?! I didn't even bother to touch the original, in fact I stopped at Cars, I've never seen Cars 2 and the whole nonsense that came with and I'll never will.
BH6 is based on Marvel characters, obviously they couldn't use some originals like Sliver Samurai & Sunfire since that's X-Men territory. Plus, they also wanted kids to watch it, so they made it user friendly, so they it became inspired by the comics. The Japanese angle came with the original story. Not a clue about the rest, since my Marvel knowledge is limited on that one.

ya I've seen basically every animation released by both Disney, DreamWorks, Bluesky & sony animations for the past 3-4 year, maybe more. Cars and Cars 2 aren't that bad bt planes was just there, I just couldn't understand why Disney would fall so low, to making crappy movies like those, maybe they are running outta storylines, hence the reason for the crappy movies being released.

BTW, just confirmed Hotel Transylvania 2 is coming this September... well that's a movie I'm eager to watch

since you're a major MCU fan, I'd take your word for it. though I still doubt those guy are comic characters... I mean their costumes sucks, no super powers, wacky artificial powers etc.... Marvel surely going south since Disney bought them

off to search for astro boy, gotta watch that movie for the 12th time

How come Sony owns Spidey, xmen, F4 and some other epic marvel comics?
Sony owns the film rights to Fantastic Four and Spider-Man, while FOX owns the rights to X-Men. Marvel traded their well known entities to these studios hoping they could work the market. While, it worked for the studios not for Marvel, they didn't get as much as they hoped. It's funny that folks forget about how Blade & Punisher are also From Marvel. Blade is the only one that made real money. Punisher has been remade how many times now? I think I've seen Frank Castle's origin story like three times now.

Marvel decided to go into this film game themselves, they decided to use one of their less popular comics, Iron Man. The only adaptation I remember was the terrible animated series they did in the 90s. I downloaded that piece of shtako as an adult, I stopped at maybe episode 3 and noped it to oblivion. Anywho, they gambled on making a shared cinematic universe and folks laughed, while folks ain't laughing so much now.

Actually, not Sony but FOX with the X-Men franchise, the first one is still a good film & still holds well. The second one is actually not bad, but the third one...that one is a special case of annoyance to both fanboys & casuals. Unfortunately, for them I'd already read the Cure storyline by Joss Whedon, which the film is loosely based on (this comic also brought Colossus back to life and has one of my fave Marvel cover - Kitty Pryde & Colossus, I digress, I'll post it later). Anywho, they tried to put many characters in it and failed; they made Phoenix into a split personality not a cosmic entity; Callisto sucked balls, she is a fearless leader not a waif; Nightcrawler is missing; if that purple haired Asian chic was supposed to be Physlocke AND she's apparantly a Morlock, I'll personally beat the writer of the film script with a large object or get someone else to do it. They tried to put too much into it and they just failed, the only really good thing I can really remember - the fast ball special...unless I'm confusing my films. Although, they did redeem themselves with First Class, Days of Future Past and The Wolverine. Wolverine: Origins was a brilliant video game, play the Uncaged Edition (PS3 or 360), the film had its issues, but it was a sweet game. Plus, the leaked work cut edition is definely better than the finished work. And I still say that guy mis-translated the Wakanda guy's Igbo. They wasted Deadpool. Ryan Reynolds was made to play Deadpool. Funny how Wakanda had Igbos in it.

Now, I don't mind changing storyline really I don't as long as it works in the film. I enjoyed Kick-Ass even though they removed the big twist and it's considerably less violent. Like I once tried to explain to someone, the films are less violent than the comics. Seriously, the Colonel Stars and Stripes scene was way more bloody and that dog was involved, yup in the exact way you think.

Fantastic Four, that one has suffered before, but no one saw it, Google fantastic four 1994 and enjoy that video. At. Your. Own. Peril. Well they're rebooting it. I actually like the films, not the best of stuff, but they were entertaining and Chris Evans owned Human Torch, who knew the guy would play the Cap so well?

Spidey actually had a decent run, then Spidey 3 happened with the emo and the dance that shall not be named or seen. Tobey was a good Spidey, he embodied that awkward kid who just wants to live his life. I was a bit skeptical of the reboot, but it was actually not as bad as I thought it would be. Then they pulled the Rhino bait and switch in Amazing Spidey 2, I still had a good laugh when folks were shocked by the death, that spoiler is older than all the ones from Game of Thrones, by several decades.

Apparently, Sony wanted to combine Spidey with the MCU, but Marvel wanted Andrew Garfield out. Spidey has actually been a member of both Avengers & Fantastic Four. He's also technically been a staffer at Xavier's school.

Sidebar: Bloody hell, I can talk. Whoops got my Sony and FOX mixed up, corrected it now. So technically my issue is with FOX, rather fitting, since they actually cancelled the original 90s animated X-Men series & Spidey series. And then destroyed all my favourite sci-fis (Firefly, Almost Human, Dollhouse etc) and other shows. This beef runs deep bruv.
