Should not be a problem. The picture on your passport should back you up.
I once had a passport that the picture was so dark, you could not make it if it was a human, dog, cat or horse. I had a couple of little issues, but a forensic check on the paþssport proved it was me and not an animal!!!

Get either Lebara or Lyca. If you already know your destinations address, pre-order a sim card from lyca or lebara's website, and you collect upon arrival.

Assuming its a pay as you go sim, just look for any WH Smith,petrol station or newsagent @ the airport and buy a lebara top up voucher.
Read instructions on how to apply from the voucher.
NB : Lebara pay as you go is singular tarriff based, simply top up and use.

I just thought it best to give back to this wonderful thread. Little bit of advice and experience would help. My first week in London has been wonderful and I am enjoying my stay but can't say much about spending and the weather.

Little tips for when u come..

getting a Lyca sim is better..u can get two bundle plan on a sim...1. 20£ for 1000 minutes Naija time for a month and same time sub 10£for UK plan on same sim for 1000 Uk minutes and unlimited text. Either way u want it.

Don't worry about the transport..it's been very challenging but u can't get lost here.

Download this app citymapper...best app so far if u coming to London..it will show u everything you need to know and plan your journey f m any location you find yourself. Be it train, car, bus and walking.

Use TFL.gov.uk to also plan ur journey.
Download Oyster contactless to check your ticket balance on your fone.
Use goodgle maps or goodle earth if you are the picture type.

I hope this helps though me myself I am still an amateur. Lol..always dressing like masquerade.

my study visa was refused for certain reasons and all my efforts to get a new cas from my sch wasnt successful, they advised that i apply for admin review which i have done and i haven't heard anything frm the uk embassy. i had to send my application for review tru Fedex to the Sheffield clearance office because that was where my application was treated...
please does anyone know anything bout this? is the clearance office not suppose to notify me at least of the receipt of my application?
plssssssss any reasonable suggestions or advise?

Hi, the universities prefer an admin review because a refusal is not good for their record. They r not in a hurry to issue a new CAS as they also v to pay 4 it. I submitted my AR on thursday 22nd January in Abuja nd I got an email confirmation that dey v received it on 23rd saying that it usually takes a minimum of 20 days. Hopefully you will get an acknowlegement of receipt too.

Kpele. The secret is to wear layer. Wear 2 to 3 t shirts layered under your main wear and get thermal longs like leggings under your trouser.

Had d foodstuffs in a different luggage. The Customs officer at MMIA only searched my second luggage which contained my clothes. So i needed not settle them. Actually flew emirates. Baggage allowance for emirates is 30kg. My clothes luggage was 19kg while the rest kg was used for foodstuffs.

My question goes thus: I have an admission already and had even paid my fees but encountered some challenges which were unexpected when it came to providing my statement for proof of maintenance funds.
My agent says its possible for him to help fund an account for me through links in the bank, however the account would be in my name but won't be mine as they would just open it using my name and lodge funds into it or the second option would be to give Me a statement that bears my surname and that would act as my father's statement.
I really doubted theses processes that were shown me as options and that's why am presenting to the house for your advices which has been a blessing to many.
