TerryCarr: African unity based on sentiment is a dream. The biggest and most sensible reason to unite is trade - not race. Money speaks all languages and doesn't discriminate. If Africans have no trade systems bringing them together, then they'll be no unity. Money is a tool that can be used to divide and to unite. Slavery was about money. (it united whites and separated blacks from whites) Apartheid was about money. Ditto above. Colonisation was about money. Ditto above. The European union is about money. It unites Europeans - not because they are white, but because they have strong trade systems bringing them together. The African Union lacks clarity and vision. Some thing it's about pan-africanism for the sake of it. That will never work. Because the trade side in Africa is infantile, pan-africanism is just a joke. 1 Like |

DieVluit:fine Slavery was about money. (it united whites and separated blacks from whites)and race, one of the mine reason why slavery was justified is because blacks were less then animals to them. and their is no reason for slavery in modern times http://www.pambazuka.net/en/category/features/75421 it was mostly about race. blacks were cheap labor Colonisation was about money. Ditto above.yes but they justified it using race & religion The European union is about money. It unites Europeans - not because they are white, but because they have strong trade systems bringing them together.and now they want their nations back |

The cultural argument is ridiculous. What cultural differences are there between a family hustling in Nairobi, Lagos or Luanda?Cultural practices, if that should only play a limited role in Pan Africanism. |

gallivant: Ever noticed that those who you point to as ugly, are actually indeed not good looking as their is good and ugly in every society. But those are the ones who look most like Negroes lol It is fact that Somalis look better than Bantus. If this was not the case, their would be no need for Bantu women to openly talk about nice hair, and wear wigs and look for light skin men |

Fulaman198: Same here. I don't know very many Bantu people, but I don't find him hilarious, Fula... In regards to threads that he dominates, he doesn't dominate anything here loll. He just makes a fool out of himself. I partially disagree. The two 'qualities' are not contradictory by any means. He dominates. Be it as it may, call it white knighting or w/e (I'm no white knight… I'm a konowo Pullo), I won't have anyone or tolerate anyone calling you disrespectful names. Really, I appreciate it and I truly believe you to be a good person, but I think you should include everyone in this, Konowo Pullo. The culture section is an easy section to manage really. Axum really isn't much of a big deal. People are made big deals only if we allow it. But he is a big deal here. |

EnlightenedSoul: Kidstrangle, Adamsutcky, Jiggaman, Onila, etc. They all kept calling me Black, and wishing that I identified as one, this is how my trolling started. They could not fathom that I see myself as a Somali. This broke their spirit. |

EnlightenedSoul: Nah big deal is completely how you personally view him. I view him as a comedian, nothing more, nothing less. He makes a lot of jokes about my admiration for women's feet loll I just find it funny. I think most Nigerians have the mentality to just ignore the rubbish he posts, because they see it as extremely childish and don't want to place themselves at such a childish level. It's mainly the African Americans who argue every point with him (no offence to the African Americans). |

EnlightenedSoul: I am proud to be Somali, it is them who have the low self esteem who care about how people in the Horn identify as. You should know this, especially after they were dying for you to say you were black, after you said you were Somali, they even rephrased the question a hundred ways. lol Anyway, please dont communicate with me anymore. Go talk to your Bantu friends |
