YoursGEJ:
Later he will come and tell us say those that are accusing him of sponsoring boko haram are mad.

What does his body language towards the insurgency tell us? When was the last time he condemned a boko haram attack? He was commiserating with France on the terrorist attack that killed 17 people and didn't say anything when 2,000 Nigerians were slaughtered in Baga. Why are helicopters dropping off supplies to the insurgents? No aircraft should be in Nigerian airspace without the knowledge and approval of FAAN and thus the FG. And Reno Omonkey falsely tried to link SLS to the insurgents. In Owoye Azazi's own words, a few days before his "accident"; PDP is boko haram and boko haram is PDP.

Yet some people who escaped from the psychiatric ward of Yaba hospital will come and blame Buhari.

As for all of you in support of GEJ, I will keep praying that your lives will be run exactly how GEJ is running this country. Amen. You are welcome for the prayer don't menshun

...And may yours be ruled exactly Gen. Buhari ruled Nigeria as the Head of States in his military days. AMEN

[b]STATE OF OPERATIONS IN THE NORTH-EAST AS OBSERVED BY SOME CONCERNED OFFICERS

1.    We the concerned officers participating in the North East Operation Zaman Lafiya do resolve to write this letter for the following reasons:

a.     To save our country Nigeria.

b.     To stop the bloodshed of innocent officers, soldiers and civilians in the North East.

c.     To appeal to the president of the United State of America Mr. Barrack Obama, United Nation Secretary General Mr. Banki Moon and other world leaders to as quickly as important to intervene and urge President Goodluck Jonathan to do the needful in addressing the issue of insurgency in Nigeria especially in the North East.

2. As members of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, it is our responsibility to defend our country Nigeria which we are ever ready to do so as the call arises. But firstly, the civil authority has the first responsibility to equip us effectively to enable us to carry out such task. This is common practice all over the world. As professional officers and soldiers, we did not want to go public with details of our frustrations concerning this operation because doing so will boast the moral[e] of our enemy. But the persistent neglect of our plight made us to do otherwise.

3. It is well known fact that of recent, a commanding officer from this theater of operation wrote a letter to our President intimating him of a few out of numerous problems affecting us in this operation which we believe Mr. President will address. It appears Mr. President has chosen to ignore it because none of his relations are among us. In this 21st century, how can an accused [be] a judge of his own case? That letter clearly exposed the rot within the military authorities concerning this operation. This is because, the Army authority that was accused of poor administration in that letter, set up a kangaroo investigation that harass[ed], intimidate[d], and forced the officer to deny the authorship of the letter.

4. We authoritatively learned that, the Army authority succeeded in forcing the officer to deny the letter through the Provost Marshal (Army) who happen[ed] to be of the same tribe with the officer concern[ed]. For President Goodluck Jonathan to ignore such kind of allegation made us to believe the rumor going round that he has a hand or knowledge in the so-called Boko Haram. We are also aware of how the funds meant for these operations are being looted through the office of the Chief of Training and Operations, Major General J.A.H. Ewansiha. Despite our strong [belief] in democracy, we condemn a democratic government that condones corruption, especially in its military. The President is reported to always turn a blind eye to issues of corruption. For instance, the ADC to Mr.President is presently one of the richest officers in the army. He owns properties in choice places all over the country and even abroad. We are going to make public details of his wealth and assets at the appropriate time.

5. We are appealing to all well meaning Nigerians and leaders of International Community to please speak out with loud voice in [order] to make President Jonathan to constitute an independent high-powered committee to investigate the content of that letter written to him by the commanding officer. Should this request be ignored, the resultant consequence could only be imagined.

6. We stand bold to state that we are speaking the minds of all the officers and soldiers in Operation Zaman Lafiya.

These letters and other numerous letters written to GEJ are opportunities for the PDP leadership to reform and make amends in the Military, Banking, Sports, Petroleum sectors etc.

For all I know, these guys are trying to help GEJ before it is too late but your myopic suspicions of APC for PDP's failures have killed GEJ's chances at redemption.

Dear concerned officers, reading through your letter I can infer that there is an undertone of ethnic divide in your message. Then, I have one piece of advise for all of you. Call your boko haram brothers and talk to them in your mother language, the same language you both spoke while growing up in the same household. These people are your brothers and you can not deny them now. Tell them to stop all these wicked acts and embrace peace.

You know you can talk as brothers and I would assume you still do. You honestly know that you really do not need weapons to stop your brothers. Call them to order because no matter how bad a person is, there is still someone they will listen to. If they do not listen to you, involve your mothers, wives, sisters.

Do you really need GEJ before you can talk to your brothers? Remember, you were brothers first before you became an army, and you are still brothers.

Every wise heart should know that this portends danger to the unity of this country. History will never forgive GEJ if there is a breakdown of law and order among the rank and file of the military.

Infact, this will lead to balkanization of Nigeria with different militia in control of different parts of the country and an endless war of attrition. The resultant bloodshed and confusion cannot even be imagined.

I have no reason to doubt this letter giving the rate at which soldiers are being court martialed at this time. And also due to my interaction with an army officer I gave a ride sometimes back.

I think it is time the council of state told the president the plain truth that some corrupt senior military officers needs to be punished in order to restore confidence and the morale of the rank and file.

And the issue of welfare and adequately equipping the army, especially those at the theatre of war should be giving a priority if we don't want to experience a wide spread mutiny leading to chaos and anarchy.

He that hath ears, let him hear.

soldiers dont play civilian politics. this is another mutiny which am not sure its real. apc are so desperate for power without having a clue but they turn round to tag gej "clueless". military dont act like this. if they are disenchanted with the civilian adminstration, they stage a coup and assume power not writing an apc watermark letter. nonsense.

Jonathan master minded boko Haram for political and financial gain, besides he lacks the basic knowledge and skill to deal military affairs. As a matter of fact he lacks leadership capability to rule a country, making rail is not what we call leadership.
Re: Open Letter To President Jonathan By Army Officers by Eluwilussit(m): 5:25am On Jan 31, 2015
Anybody who thinks for a minute that this nonsense was actually written by some nigerian officers, is truly dumb. Per adventure it was, then the writer is as biased as they come. An officer obeys commands, no matter how bad the situation is. Nigerian soldiers have been over pampered. Can any of these lazy soldiers survive a week in Syria, Iraq or Afghanistan? A soldier fights with anything available. A soldier obeys every command and any command. A soldier doesn't complain.

Before you guys start talking trash, I come from a military family. Two of my cousins fought in Liberia. My nephew was in Sierra Leone. He was in Sudan as well. Now, he and four of my cousins are in the north. The day you sign those papers, is the day you sign away some of your rights. Even the most fundamental of all human rights-the right to life.

You can blame Jonathan all you want, the truth remains that the corrupt officers are either our fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, husbands, wives, sons, daughters, cousins or friends. There is so much Jonathan can do in 5 years. So far, he had done better than all the thieves before him.

After all, what did Obasanjo do when Yerima started all this madness? Didn't the North jubilate on the streets when Boko Haram started? Was Boko Haram not seen by the northerners as their youth wing? Something akeen to all the different militant groups in other parts of the country. Now everybody wants to blame Jona for what was beyond his control.

The day the North decides that enough is enough, Boko Haram will become history within months. Until that day, Nigeria will continue to fight in vain.

Some parts of the letter seem politically oriented. However, it names some specific names, which is helpful, but I was hoping for more info.

The biggest problem we are having in this country at the moment is politics. Everyone is affected with this virus to the extent anything anyone says to you no matter with all intents of good heart is seen with a political eye. It's a cankerworm already. Up till this moment there are several people who still believe Chibok girls is a scam and can they really be blamed? #POLITICS, and sadly democracy cannot exist without politics.

There's a chance, maybe up to 99% of everything written in that letter was written with all genuine intents of heart. And there's another chance, maybe up to same 99% the presidency will see it with the prisms of politics and ignore it like the last one. And the poor villages of the northeast will keep amassing graves.

First it was soldiers shooting at their corrupt and incompetent GOC in Maiduguri. Then it was a senior officer writing an open letter to the president, which was later retracted under duress. Then Jonathan appointed someone from his hometown as Chief of Army staff. And now soldiers are rebelling in groups and discretely because they're scared of the persecution and the death sentences Jonathan's people are dashing out like ice cream.
Its in our best interest that this man is not re elected as President or we might just have a major rebellion in the Military. If he or his party tries to rig the election, the consequences will be very unprecedented. Things have gone so bad in the North that Chad, poor useless Chad is now helping us secure our territory from Boko Haram. Jonathan has ceded a large chunk of the territory he inherited to Boko Haram. His time is clearly up.

2.How many B.H did local hungers killed in 2014 about 300ተ.
3.How many B.H did Cameroonian soldiers kill last year?
4.Just last week how many B.H members was killed and chased out of camp by Chadian soldiers?

Does it mean that all this people are more feed and equipped including the local hunters than Nigerian soldiers?

Have we ever asked ourselves this question...
1.What is B.H fighting for?
2.Why in GEJ's Regime ?
3.Why are they in North-East?

Na wa for your type of logic. On one hand, Jonathan masterminded the Boko haram insurgency, on the other, same Jonathan lacks the knowledge and skills to deal with military affairs. Some people can reason o.

If Jonathan is the brain behind Boko Haram, then not only is he smarter than all the northerners, he is also smarter than all our armed forces. In other words, you guys are the clueless ones.

Jona was born without shoes, just like all of us. It was not his responsibility to chose his birth parents. His lack of shoes as a child isn't anything he should be ashamed of. Jonathan didn't allow nature to determine his destiny. He did all he had to do to nurture his fortunes. Heavens did the rest.

Win or lose, Jonathan's story is a masterclass. Nobody can take anything away from him. He had done well and posterity will definitely be kind to him. He has done a good job.

Before you go off, I am not Niger Delta. I am not even Jonathan's avid supporter. I am not pdp or APC. I am a fair minded nigerian who will never be affected by the result of this circus we call election.

Oga forget long story! The money meant for them is not reaching them. Someone\people in Abuja are pocketing all the money meant for the soldiers. The little that eventually leaves Abuja Is chopped by the Generals and other senior officers before it gets down to the war front in the North East. The soldiers sef don try. Before they no dey give tori, they would just seize power by force. Now they're writing letters and appearing on CNN to highlight the problems in the military and what they're getting in return is death sentences and persecution. If they seize power again nobody should complain. The military has been more civil than our lousy politicians.

Corruption in the army did not start today. It started in the hay days of Buhari & IBB though they try to sugar coat their failures and cover it up with cheap propaganda. Passing all the bulk to one man's table because he is the sitting President doesn't add up. Even OBJ couldn't deal with Army corruption effectively hence he sacked top army officers. Leave GEJ alone. The problem does not start and end with him. Even you all complaining now when you get to prime military positions tomorrow, you will do worse than the current ones. Stop making yourself a stooge in the hands of these political jobbers of a party called APC because of the coming elections.
Yimu® undecided

But a "corrupt" Army under IBB, Abacha and Obj brought peace to many African countries?

You see, this is my problem with GEJ and many of his supporters.

Playing politics with everything, just as he refused to believe Chibok girls were truly abducted until after 18 days.

If he's not attributing everything that happens to the handiwork of opposition, he's attributing it to past leaders.

Too bad.

This letter being true or false has nothing to do with the fact that insurgency would continue under clueless GEJ for the next 4 years. That's apparent...but one thing that may not continue if BH gets out of hand is a 'civilian rule'. This morally bankrupt administration might well be a victim of a military coup if soldiers continue to sense hopelessness in the situation of things.

APC is a party of propaganda so we all know where these demeaning reports are coming from. It all about 2015 and the fact remains that no matter their propaganda and mudslinging, BUHARI WILL NEVER BE PRESIDENT... NOT NOW, NOT EVER.
You have spoken the mind of the gods.

just recently shekau displayed some weapons he claimed to have captured from an army barracks. what I saw in that video was not an arsenal of toy guns, they were highly sophisticated weapons with which he claimed it was sufficient for him to overun the NA. If those weapons were really captured from the NA, then something isn't right about these reports and the letters.

scam reporters at it again, that heediot will stay at his APC acquired mansion in USA, write one nonsense, post and say its the military. so who and who signed the letter? what made it worthy to be published?

Don't just read it, listen to it, whose voice do you hear? does this sound like a soldier? a rugged? I dont think so. same writing pattern scam reporters use to write all their Love letters.
True!
APC letter!
I stopped believing this their no equipment trash many months ago. Is it not thesame army dat complain of equipment dat gives BH all their equipments out of fear? Shekau said recently dat any soldier dat tells u no equipment is a coward dat d army has more dan what it takes to fight them. Below are some of d military equipments taken by BH.
