Hmmm. I'm sure Chad would never ever even think of using such assets to help out their useless neighbours. Ahem....i'll just leave this here.

Why is a rag tag useless army part of MNJTF? Why would Nigeria associate themselves with such? Put your troops on the border with Chad and render Chad's help null and void. But the truth....you rely on them big time. They are your saving grace.

Chad is saving itself, if they don't join the fight from their borders, Nigeria is rolling out massive tanks, artillery, and combat aircraft on all Boko Haram positions at the same time, then the fleeing Bokos will run into Chad....and it becomes a big Chadian problem with 10,000 Bokos living inside their territory....who wants to cohabit with Boko fighters in battalions and brigade numbers? Chad is saving itself from migration of killers into her land....same with Camerooon....Biya too is up and fighting for his country's survival !

The T-72 is the worst tank the Soviet Union ever produced.

BH is a Nigerian group which for years now has built its capabilities, with your military. claiming victory and progress.

The insurgent improved and expanded their force, for a semi-conventional warfare. A far cry from motorbike drive by attacks and other guerilla tactics.

Your military was caught drunk with its pants down, now neighbours are coming to your aid.
BH is a sub regional security threat. Every single nation in the anti terror coalition have been affected by boko haram, it would therefore be an act of the basest naiveity for anyone to confuse "a joint security effort to tackle a common threat" with a military intervention or aid. I am of the opinion that any nation at war needs all the help she can get from allies and neighbours, this are factors that have shaped the results of all the conflicts that humanity have seen. A nation that stands alone, falls alone.
With that said i will like you to read books like The peloponesian wars. Written by thucidides, and the Leviathan by Thomas hobbes. This will give you a better understanding on what states are and why they act the way they do.

How does that question CHANGE the fact that Chad entered Nigeria?

You have repeatedly failed to deny a simple fact and are talking about the price of cheese in China.

countless attempts by that young man to enlighten you have gone down the drain, in your own desperate effort to retain for yourself an atmosphere of delusion fraught with ignorance and every other factors that accounts for the ailing south African Educational system. It is very clear and simple. A multi national task force was formed to fight the Islamists. The mandate of this task force includes the pursuit of terrorists in their various hideouts across the border towns and villages of this countries. The insurgents have been fought on various fronts from Cameroon, Chad to Niger. What we re doing is exactly what any sane country would do under the same situation.

BH is a sub-regional threat. Yes.

That's because your security forces failed to curb their insurgency at its incipient, when the movement's arsenal was in dribs and drabs. Like their leader described in their last video: "we who started with sticks and machetes".

Under the watch and futile COIN campaign of your military they didn't disintegrate but rather built up their fighting force, obtained massive arms and started being a huge problem.

Your neighbours are now helping, as BH a Nigerian problem is now capable of launching attacks and kidnapping people in their land.

Hence i said i wonder if Chad would NOT use such assets. Just keep them parked in their hangars collecting dust while their men are at war, facing heavily armed opposition. So lets look at the facts....

1.Chad has the assets to conduct air strikes via helicopter (picture i provided)

2. Various news agencies report that Chad is conducting heavy air strikes against Boko Haram in Nigeria

3. But no no no let us not believe all those different articles and eyewitness claims. Let the world rather believe Agaugust here on this forum, because this ONE article doesnt have a picture of an attack helicopter. Hence making all other articles and eyewitness claims false.

Do you see how your logic is substandard? Sub par. Poor.

New equipment awaited just arrived and more still arriving, tanks, IFV, MRLS, guided missile armed drones that no African country has ever used in war.

Sri Lanka is the first country to win a big modern day religious insurgency war against Tamil Tigers, their final offensive took almost 25 years to launch.

Anyway, how will South Africans know how real war is fought when their own army is sleeping lazily at home for 20 long years tonguetongue

who says that missile armed drone is yours?

SANDF trains for war... professional armies train. Thats how they know how to fight

Reason why we say ALL South Africans are born fools. So because white-men's new media say Chadian helicopters bomb targets you just believe them because you have no brain fiber to challenge their claims....LOL Soweto is sprawling with Mumus !

We Nigerians are challenging that American/European news agency that Chadian Mil Hippo helicopters are NOT weapon armed, they are ordinary transports.

Shows you how much lies and fraud is posted by white-men sitting down 7,000 km away in USA/EU and writing battlefield reports copied from Facebook, like BBC....White racist apartheid fools grin grin

You are very very very very very very wrong !!!!!!!

Boko Haram actually started in Mali using another name. They infiltrated Nigeria a little. They grew Very strong in Mali and successfully defeated the army and air force of Mali. The Malian army blamed their government for poor equipment and overthrew their president in a coup.

Nigeria offered to help Mali, but the new military government said they don't want Anglophone military intervention, they chose Francophone help and France plus Chad were invited. ECOWAS demanded that Mali allow Nigerian army and air force to join France because of our ECOMOG track record of success which also attracted envy from the world of those who have failed where Nigerian army succeeded.

Nigeria deployed land and air power to Mali and immediately the Malian Islamic insurgents leadership sent a message to Nigeria promising to retaliate on Nigeria's territory if they lose Mali.

Yes they lost Mali and resurfaced in Nigeria as Boko Haram reloaded. There are hundreds of thousands of Malians living permanently in Nigeria trading and working everywhere.

They linked up with the Northern Nigerian tribal Islamic fundamentalists and grew into Boko Haram, then connected to Chadian and Cameroonian Islamic fundamentalists, so you get today's multinational Boko Haram that is based in Nigeria, Chad, Cameroon, crossing borders at will.

Only way to finish them is by multinational forces squeezing them from all 3 sides, or else, they flee from final offensive in Nigeria and relocate to Chad and Cameroon.

Another force will later arise from there after they rest, regroup, rearm, restrategize. Common sense demands all 3 countries to attack Boko Haram at the same time.

The white man's report was false, helicopters hardly ever bomb, they rocket, does Rooivalk helicopter carry bombs? Helicopters with bombs are rare. A bomb run brings them too close, too slow and become exposed to enemy AAA.

The foreign media wanted to deliberately praise Chad over Nigeria and in the process made himself a foolish white man who says helicopters were dropping bombs....he is just as foolish and fraudulent as you grin grin

This is probably the most stupi.d comment i've ever seen you ever say. Which says a lot. Chad helicopters bombed Boko Haram positions, using rockets fool.

It doesn't make English/grammatical sense to say "Chad helicopters rocketed Boko Haram positions". It's perfectly acceptable grammar to use the headline that they did. And most decently educated people would fully understand what the author meant.....i.e Chad helicopters have dropped munitions/explosives/rockets (in whatever specific form they take) on Boko Haram.

This was your big come back? This was the post you had in reserve to impress everyone? I honestly feel embarrassed for you. Shame.

NIGERIA’S TERRITORIAL INTEGRITY REMAINS INTACT

“The Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) in which Nigeria, Niger, Cameroon, and Chad have contingents are part of the ongoing onslaught against terrorists in this region.

“The countries that make up the Lake Chad Basin Commission also had some understanding, which now enables a massive move against terrorists from all angles.

“Contrary to the impression being pushed in some quarters, it is the Nigerian forces that planned and are driving the present onslaught against terrorists from all fronts in Nigeria; not the Chadian Forces as is being propagated by some media.

“For instance Chadian forces have been deployed in Baga Sola, which is a Chadian territory.

“There have been some joint deployments and patrols around Kirawa, Ashgashiya and other locations in borders of Cameroun, Nigeria and Chad as part of these operations.

“Chadians and others are however keying into and working in concert with the overall plan for an all-round move against the terrorists as agreed.

Use google, fool !

"The Iraqi T-72s performed well against opposing Iranian tanks such as Chieftains and Pattons in the Iran–Iraq war. In the early stages of the war, an Iraqi battalion of T-72 tanks faced an Iranian battalion of Chieftain tanks. During the battle all Iranian tanks were destroyed, while the Iraqis suffered no losses. Iraqi T-72 had great success in the battle for Basra and the last stages of the war. 105mm M68 tank guns and TOW missiles proved ineffective against the frontal armor of Iraqi T-72s.[54][55] 60 T-72 tanks were lost during the eight years of war.[56][57] According to Iranians and Iraqis, the T-72 was the most feared tank of the Iran–Iraq War.

Kuwaiti Chieftains participated in the 1990 Iraq–Kuwait War. The Kuwaiti 35th Armored Brigade fought at the Battle of the Bridges against elements of the Iraqi Hammurabi and Medina divisions before withdrawing over the Saudi border[14] 136 Kuwaiti Chieftains were lost. Only 7 tanks managed to survive the war with Iraq."
