I said nne wipe your tears o,go and get a lawyer before you leave empty handed
My husband gave me this evil look grin grin grin
I said yes nau( in my mind o)

What has 2013 got to do with the fact that some primary school pupils display more maturity than you who is supposed to be almost half a decade old or thereabout.

Ok,I even thanked the post, the first thank you there is from me

What makes it different? The fact that there is now a man to milk dry in the event of a failed marriage.
Then by all means all women should go to sperm banks and get their children. Surrogacy is not an entirely bad idea either.

The difference is that in one of the scenarios there is a father who is available and in the other not.

The difference is that in one of the scenarios the woman did not decide to take care of the kids all by herself but the the decision has been made by TWO people.

You are slowly losing it, seriously.

Mutter, you are being hypocritical. You really need to stop. You want rapists to go free because society is harsh? That's essentially what you are saying. I told you I was a victim of sexual assault and that I never felt shame about it. So I was very shocked when I read that the same thing happened to you and yet you still insist that rapist should go free and keep raping. Do you even see why people are frustrated with you. You do not use your experiences to help others but to further victimize them. You will be the type to advice another woman not to report her baby's rape because of what people will say. They'll send that housemaid out of the house and unto another innocent family who will have a child experience the same horror that you and I endured. I know someone in Nigeria who's children all have herpes. They caught a maid doing inappropriate things with one of the kids. I'm willing to bet that those kids got exposed to herpes from her or one of the maids who have full access to the children. Maybe if someone else had reported it before when this maid was inappropriate that she would not have been allowed near kids. Why not use the energy you use to vehemently defend rapists and murderers to fight for a sexual predator registry in Nigeria. You are going about this the wrong way. I personally do not see your sharing as "dirty laundry" and I'll beg the person who said that to apologize. I'm sure she did not mean it. Sometimes it is good for us to share experiences. Someone else might read through this thread and decide that they must report on follow up on any cases of rape they hear about. It takes a lot for an adult to overcome the after effects of rape. Imagine what a child would go through.

My dear if someone did that to my child, please call the police to save him because I am ready to die with the person.

As long as one abuser is out there justice can never be done.

But I know the other darker side too.

You sited an instance of the mother that stood up for her daughter. I can site an instance of the mother putting pepper in the Childs privates and accusing her of asking for it. I can site you examples of mothers giving their daughters into prostitution after such an incident because there was nothing left to save. I can give you instances of girls that where raped being victims of rape over and over again from different groups when they found out.

So just try and understand. The victim has been hurt already and in the course of seeking justice get hurt over over again. The feel like being raped all over again.
I don`t support abuse not physical and also not verbal.

I have not read the story of a single nigerian man in the USA murdered by his wife
Not one
Women are generally good grin
The few women in Nigeria and here who kill their husbands are usually abused Women who have endured years of physical or sexual and emotional torture until they snapped
Women are not built to kill
We are built to nurture, that's why we have wombs and carry babies and also nurse them

I thought all the Nigerian husbands in the US are good? grin

perhaps, mutter was decent enough not to commit marital infidelity or paternity fraud like the deceased women. there would be no need for any husband to shoot a virtuous wife.

All women killed by their husbands commit martial infidelity or paternity fraud?

Are these two offences worth killing a spouse for?

I am seriously wondering why abused Nigerian wives don't snap

It must be something in the water they are drinking undecided

I repeat
Any woman going through a divorce especially if you are in the West and the man has some means
Hire a good attorney and get all that is due you within the confines of the law
You deserve it
Marriage is a partnership and when it breaks down ,nobody should get the shorter end of the stick

If that option is available and the women opting for it have the same one head other women have, then what is stopping them from going down the same less dramatic route.
The only difference i see is one woman who is willing to leech off an unsuspecting man and another who is responsible for her self and her decisions.'
Everybody has to give up something for someone they love. If you would request payment for taking care of YOUR own child then you might have as well sold them off to slavery the instant they were born for troubling your body at all.
I'll choose to ignore the latter part of that post.. undecided

Most people don't marry to get divorced.

Everything is all about money to these folks. See them shouting my money, my money. Some of them the wives dont even know their bank or property details in and out of the country.
when they die sudden death, the bank takes all, extended family takes the rest.
Fish brains, they only think of the immediate, not the future.

Butcher your wife and end up picking soap in jail. Children end up in welfare. Penny wise, pound foolish and you think these are the people answering "head of the family". With these kind of reasoning.
Twah!!!
There is no justification for killing anybody over a dispute.
As per money, it's always about money iin most marriages and divorces .. Matter of fact, it's likely about money in the beginning, but they don't want to say it.
Ignore money to your own peril!!

What if the woman can't work because the children are still too young?

And who will compensate her for having given up on her job and career?
When she was staying at home, you had the opportunity to be promoted and to make more money.

What sacrifice have you made? Why is it that she has to give up on her career, miss opportunities and the chance to make more money and not you?

If children are too young then take them to baby sitter and both parents pay for it.

She take maternity and was getting paid during maternity moreover it comes with the desire to be a mother, You cant desire to be a mother and later turn around to say you should be compensated for motherly duties

WHat sacrifice? The money the child was spending who got it? the house the wife was living someone is paying for it, the food everyone is eating is not free.

The man makes money and spends it on the family. Money he could have used on himself or even work less hours if he ditn have that many mouth to feed.

But he is not complaining to be compensated for choosing to marry and have a kid its the other partner wanting to be compensated for achieving what she has desired for years

So where is the disagreement. ?

From posts that follow, you now see that most women actually want more, Not only to take care of the child but enter marriage to profit financially

This is the same archaic mentality that gave a woman pittance in Nigeria after over 40 years of marriage and a UK court heard the appeal and granted her over a third of his assets in the UK.
The man a lawyer went to Nigeria and filed for divorce because he knew his fellow Stone Age men will give the woman next to nothing and they did.
Thank God for lands that recognize the place of a woman and her role in marriage
